  • The hardest part of tying an Elk Hair Caddis is getting the wing right. The hair can twist, bunch up, fall off, spin... and a number of other things before you get it right. This technique takes care of that. Is it traditional? No. Is it easy and does it work? Yes.

    Nice, you make it look easy. Looks like you could tie in some legs and this doubles as a beetle pattern.

    I like it, but I'd have to hackle the head only cuz I do that...that tie will be in my box for the sedge hatch...nicely done.

      Sorry for the late reply. I just got back from fishing for a week in Idaho. These are old Mohair brushes. Amazon sells similar things though. It makes buggy bodies very quickly.
