Using the Swiss CDC Multi-Clamp again, we show a great way to use deer hair to hackle a dry fly. This is a GREAT technique for dry flies.

Beautiful. I appreciate you not editing the part where your thread came off or when the whip finishing tool went over the hook eye. I do that and it’s encouraging to see even the best tiers struggle with physics.
That deer hair dubbing technique is awesome. When you gave it the spin the result was perfect.
Your last video 'showcasing' this clamp inspired me to make one . . . very simple. I used a large office type spring clamp , a 'junk mail' credit card , & some super hi - tech polyurethane glue. Works great ! It holds up to 3" of dubbing material. I've used feathers that were oversized for what I wanted - , marabou, deer & badger hair . . . soft hackle & chickabou... works like MAGIC ! ;)
Thanks for the nudge !
Hell, if you decide to make more post them up with a price !
Your suppose to buy them !
Very nice! Tight lines🕷️🐜🐛!!!!
Very cool thanks. Instead of cutting the bottom hairs, I heat a bodkin over a flame and touch the bottom hairs which serves the same purpose but with a real buggy look.
Great looking fly.
Nice, I've never seen deer hair dubbing loops before.
awesome nice n simple does deer hair float and keep its shape better than chicken feather?
I am going to have to get one of these CDC Multi-Clamps. you could tie Goddard Caddis like that as well among other things. My birthday is coming up, in February.
George Semel good luck on trying to find one
George Semel we just got them back in stock about 10 minutes ago.
Good Luck! Always out of stock.
JD Fisher we cant help that they sell faster than the manufacturer can make them ;) we buy as many as they let us...
@@FlyFishFood I'm not bashing you guys. I just really want one :) I keep missing them.
What about using this hackle for a hackle stacker or front loaded hackle. So the front end loaded caddis has a spun wing trimmed and the front hackle is also hair. Would that fly ever sink?
I like it alot! Very nice
Would make a good hackle stacker.
Thanks
Very neat 👌
It seems like you could also tie a virtually unsinkable griffith's gnat or other larger midge cluster imitation pattern using deer hair.
Welp. I have some freezer duck and some deer hides. Time to get to work!
Let lance tie some flies that he used in wffc
Alright... that is a cool technique! Stealing!!!
Nice1
What sz hook?
