I heard about Porto’s from the cake episode on Buzzfeed from YEARS ago. Made my way out to Cali from Michigan and I just had to go to Porto’s. Delicious and was not overhyped or overpriced. Exceeded my expectations.

Beautiful family and heartwarming story. Born and raised in LA so I always went to their Downey location. I often get birthday cakes from here and stock up on as much pastries as I can.

1:45 Super sad when the wife was asked do you remember the day you ran away from communist cuba & the wife said I remember my best friend running to the bus waving at me and the wife broke down & got emotional for the poor remaining best friend left behind & hopefully sometime in the future they could have easily made arrangements to send the best friend to where there at & be reunited again for the lifetime friendship phomomion.
