I bought this M300 a week ago, to use for pocket/ travel, instead of SONY NW-A105 (hardly used in several years and was unsatisfactory for batter life, software/ music library mgmt.) I put a loaded 512 Gb micro SD into it taken out of the SONY, and am in process of adding favorites and songs into playlists. The price on AMAZON was the full price. At least it was overnight no extra charge Prime delivery.
This was a thorough review. Thank you! Been using an old LG V50 as a DAP. Decided on something smaller that won’t break the bank. This one seemed perfect for me.
@@joenathanz7474 any android phones support flac audio playback. just buy a dac earphone and use your android phone with hiby player app or fiio or power amp or whatever player you like, and you have your own losless audio player. i bought this hiby m300 2 months ago, and i regreted it😅. this thing doesn't sound any better than my android phone with the same earphones and headphones. the only different between hiby m300 and my phone is that m300 amps has more power.
I have one, couple weeks old. And it doesn’t want to turn ON ? Like the battery just died! Probably defective I will return this but I have to remove my google account signed in.
Hi Jose ! I got an question bro, if you download some tracks on TIDAL playlist, could you after play them offline? Without internet conexion? And if yes, this M300 allowed to download directlly the tracks from TIDAL on the MicroSD card storage of the DAP? I apreciate your help!!!
Arguably the "greener" option too, if you're into that. Combined with a Custom ROM, it could remain useful for years to come. Though a replacement battery may be necessary.
i bought m300 a week ago. i could say hiby m300 is not better compared to my android phones i have. my ears said it have the same sound quality. i used the same earphone, mtc r10 with cx31993 usb c dac chip and the same player, hiby player. and i am kinda regret it, because it's quiet expensive here in my country, indonesia. it has the same price range as midrange phones.
I would like to know the following... if I play music from, for example, RUclips Music, when I listened to it, is there the function to be able to balance the sound more to the right side or more to the left side? I have a hearing problem and it would be essential for me. I know that if I listen to music locally I can do it with the player's balance option, but there is also the option with music downloaded from RUclips Music, or Amazon Music, etc., that is, there is the balance option in some menu For example, accessibility, the same as on a mobile phone?
If it has access to WiFi and other applications are downloaded, does that mean that I will get ads on my Walkman? If it has WiFi, does that mean that there is access to internet radio? No one talks about this with the M300.
It depends on the apps you use. If you install Spotify and don’t have a premium account you’ll get ads. If it’s your own music and you los it via USB, no ads.
The key element is how good is the DAC in comparison with Sony’s and fiio ones? After all it’s a music player, needs to to shine in this area! ( What lossless format does it accept?) Thanks for the cool video!!
@@JoseBriones oh! For the price it is excellent! Thanks you for the recommandation !! I still love my Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO headset and this might a nice Travel companion to my lovely headset !

You can download Tidal playlists. SD cards idk but you can definitely download to the memory storage.
I have one and yes you can download offline from Tidal to sd card
The Hiby r4 just launched last month. It might be worth considering it over the M300.
Definitely worth it over this
Yeah, with half of battery life compared to M300 😅
What about battery for continuous playing ? Can it be lasting for whole day ?
Probably about 10hrs of continuous play time
I think (IMHO only) that used old phone could be cheaper option and more available.
There are some good DAC in old phones like Xperia and LG.

Can you use this for RUclips Music? :)
Yes. Offline or on WiFi
@JoseBriones thanks man! Finally I can start saving money hahaha
Why did you talk about everything except for which it was made for? Sound quality.
Does anyone know if this can be used with an external dongle dac?
You can

This is a stock android setting. It's buried in settings somewhere. Search "balance" and ut should pop up.

So can you use WhatsApp on it?? I mean like a regular phone just with Wi-Fi does it have a microphone in a speaker in proper locations?
Yes. You can use Whatsapp as long as you have wifi. It'll work the same as on a phone.

Sorry a noob here, is the built in music player app UI similar to the Samsung music app ?
Yes. It is similar. Pretty much the same functions
How long the battery lasts?
It depends on usage, but usually about 3-4 days.

doesn't do anything different better to use mobile phone.
Unless you don’t have a smartphone and then it does everything a flip phone can’t.
Except 99% of new phones have no expandable storage for SD card slot, OR headphone jack... which this has both.
It's sound quality is better when you use a wired connection than a phone so yeah it does better than a phone
