  • Maya Namdar began her career in the fashion world as a merchandiser for trendy boutiques in Soho. She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology, majoring in fashion buying and merchandising. She founded and owns Maya’s Place, designing fashionable looks that radiate beauty and femininity without compromising modesty.
Maya is the mother of Liel A"H, her 15-year-old daughter who passed away in a car accident in December 2021. Liel was an extraordinary girl who had a lofty Neshama. She had a contagious smile that lit up the world. She lived, loved, laughed & learned" for herself and everyone around her. Liel loved to help people and make them smile, especially those in the outer circle. She didn't do it because she felt she had to- she did it because she wanted too; it was her essence.
Maya shares her inspiring story and perspectives in this incredibly meaningful episode.

I was so broken and kept looking at the name Liel..I had never heard that name before. That day my 14yr old daughter came home from school taking about a Liel a friend from a yr above her.. I couldn't believe it in one day 2 Liels..
    beautiful name with beautiful messages.

Very very touching. I'm thinking about Liel a"h and the light she shared. Clearly she came from a very special mother. May G-d comfort you Maya in knowing what an important mission your daughter was given and succeeded at. We are still learning from her, that never ends.

There is nothing anyone can say to you you are beyond all of our comprehension. What a tzadeket this girl is, I am in tears for the unthinkable you went through and for the tzadeket this little young tzadeket was, and still is!! Am yisrael is with you and the one thing on our mind is the moment you reunite with your angel on that day when she comes back to us with mashiach, it is coming soon! Don’t you worry. We love you you are on our mind and hearts always may Hashem always be with you and your family amen!

My former husband took away my son Natannael from me when he was 7 years old. Not being with him has been so hard. When I have a moment to see him I feel that my happiness comes back and last for about 2 or 3 days, then sadness and anger again. But Hashem! I cannot not even imagine losing a child.
