I have been learning Italian on and off for many years, in total, I've spent about 2 or 3 years, fully committed to learning Italian, but I'm just not making enough progress for my satisfaction. The Italian pronunciation is easy for me, but the structure of their sentences is hard to master and also how you sometimes use masculine and feminine versions for every word, but sometimes, even when you are speaking about yourself, sometimes when you would expect that you have to use feminine words, you actually have to use masculine words. once I can get over this struggle, then I think I will be almost perfect in speaking Italian. I find that I learn visually and kinaesthetically(by doing).
I am Italian and have wanted to learn the language for many reasons the only thing I've found myself doing is using apps which I end up skipping lessons many days and they dont teah you many important words instead it's just like "I ate a pear" and dumb things like that I will try as many as these tips as I can and update in a month or 2 on my progress!
thank you so much!! ive started learning italian only today and i’ve learnt ragazza, ragazzo, ciaoa, la donna, and that’s about it. it’s not much but hey!! i’m desperate to learn another language, i tried learning spanish for 3 years and could only count to 5 as my memory is so incredibly bad, so hopefully this will help me. thank you!! :)
I've studied Italian two years ago, but I've stopped because I was teaching full-time and doing college at the same time, so it was really difficult to find some time to study and practice. So, now, I am studying again, and I am watching cartoons, for it is basic words and constructions, so it's easier to understand them. It is also easier for us, Brazilians, because it is pretty much close to Spanish, so we make connections, even to someone who speaks Spanish, which is my case; sure, I've downloaded a grammar book and a course one too, because it'll be my base!! Great tips you've given us!! Greetings from Brazil, São Paulo🇧🇷
Do you have any recommendations for a grammar book? Like you, I tend to learn best via visual aids, so any recommendations you may have would be appreciated.
Thanks for these tips! I signed up to audit an Italian class and my professor is awesome but I’m older and language doesn’t come easy ... I struggled with English rules of grammar and I’m a long way from my school days! I’m excited to learn and these tips are better than any I’ve found so far! I’ve already ordered three children’s books and I’ll be changing my language on Netflix to Italian anytime I watch Frazier as I know that show by heart ha I g seen every episode about 30 times 😁👊🏼👍 I’ll be traveling to Italy next September to visit Rome, Cinque Terre and finally the region of Tuscany. I hope to be at least somewhat conversational by then. 😁
Ciao! Non l'avevo mai visto però adesso lo devo guardare per forza!! Non conosco nemmeno Checco Zalone quindi mi sembra che ho un po' da fare adesso!! Grazie mille per i consigli :)
Forgive me but you're here on youtube and the first is: watch tv & movies! The best tip is: use youtube! It's the best deal to learn languages you want. Here you can find plenty of interisting people making video like you and I mean they are true people. I'm into computer and sports and politics and economy and much more so I just pick any inspiration and I go through youtube and watch tons of interesting and stimulating topics. Correct yourself. Best overall to learn Italian is RUclips! Anyway let me say you're definitely beautyful and charming: good for your boyfriend! Thumbs up!
Look up italian children books/comics or better yet, find a book you already know and love from your mother tongue to italian and patiently try ro read through it and pick up whatever words you recognize and write the ones you kight have a guess down amd go ocer them later
Riviera Dreamer oh wow that is so cool!!! Could I ask if a lot of companies hiring are looking for those who have degrees? I can only assume that’s really what they’re looking for
I’m not sure what the general expectations are but it definitely depends on the job you are applying for. For example if you want to be an architect you would definitely need a degree but if you want to be a bar tender or work at a hotel you wouldn’t. I hope that makes sense! For my job I didn’t need a degree to qualify but I’m still glad I have one :)
The single best collection of advise I've come across !!

Could I ask what your job is in Italy because I know finding well paid jobs (or jobs in general) aren’t the easiest there
I actually am a manager of some Airbnb rentals in the Cinque Terre :) It is definitely harder to find work here but not impossible!

Nope! You are dead wrong! There are tons of native speakers who suck using our language.
