I personally love all my True sticks Hzrdus 9X4, 7X4, Project X Smoke and Catalyst 9X3's(3 of them) I will always recommend going down one model if durability is your primary focus. I have done it for all brands including the CCM Jetspeed family (regular jetspeed vs pro) Good video though and appreciate you taking time to go over it all.
I had same thing happen with my other ghost. First couple odr sessions it was amazing, but just in time for the second ghost to arrive it lost all it's pop, I compared the 2 and after using the older one and changing to the new one the shots would just fly off. So so odd. I used the other one for about 4 odr sessions so about 2-3k shots. Now after using the newer one for the same time it still retains it's shot speed. Oh and same thing with my tracer, shot really well and then after 5-10k shots just became really hard to shoot with.
My take on weight: - the lighter the better - BUT anything below 400g isn't worth it if it compromises durability. At that point i would want any weight savings used for reinforcment instead.
The ccm ft7 non pro is perfect for this, 395 grams, stiff blade. Still feels really light, but will not shatter in your hands after 5 games. Basically a copy of the ft5 pro, but for much cheaper.
Might be weird to say but I’ve had better experiences with their older Low Kick sticks. The True AX9 still has a special place in my heart even though it came out almost five years ago now. I currently do have Hazardous and the quality feels like it’s been on the decline. I’ve used the same curve, flex, and lie, but passing and stick handling definitely feel different and that’s not a positive thing. It’s still a doable stick but if I had the option for a brand new AX9 or a Hazardous, I’d pick the AX9.
I think it’s odd how the Hzrdus line is a low kick but their Hzrdus skate line is built for the power skater, not so much the agile player, who would benefit from a mid kick stick traditionally
Please let people know your experiences with these True sticks! Were they as bad as mine or are yours still holding up?
9x4 broke first game. I really want to buy the project x smoke but $400 is not going to happen

I feel like all I’ve ever heard about true sticks are that they’re great, up until they break like a week in.
Hit the nail on the head
Same, I feel like if they can make the stick durable, they have a home run.

QR6 pro at 375 grams is extremely durable
400 grams is the sweet spot for weight imo.

Had a PX … broke in 70 minutes of play.
That was about 40 minutes longer than my 9x3!
