We just switched my 10U into Factory MAD knee and thigh guards from his previous John Brown, which were similar to the PAW design, he absolutely loves the Factory MAD knee guards. They are very comfortable, not bulky and incredibly protective. The quality of the build is impeccable, and that’s what you get when you pay the higher price. All parts are replaceable and easily swapped out as needed, so they aren’t throw away. I expect he will be in them for quite a few years.
Thanks Matt for a very thorough review. I wish this review would’ve come out before I bought those CCM Pro knee guards . I do value your opinion. Maybe I will try the Warriors that you feel are better.
I've been in the warrior rx4 pro+ for a year now and they've been great. No complaints at all. I was in bauer pros and vaughn v9 before that and they don't compare. That said, I'm older and knee protection is essential. I also added knee lifts to my pads, very cheap/easy mod that makes a big difference.
Great review! I’m surprised hockey companies haven’t really reached out to goalies to collaborate on a good design for knee guards. The did for the aegis neck guard, and those were pretty successful
Hoping he gets a new pair of PAW knee guards if he does a real review. I play hockey with Sara the builder business owner and we both stated how his blue pair in his videos looks very used and gives a bad impression.
I have the previous years version of these. Great protection but not the most comfortable for movement. The screws are actually exposed. I feel them often and can somwtomes see screw marks around my knee 😆 The screws need tk be retightened before every game. Critical design flaw

The CCM knee pads have saved my knees many times. Got the new version a few months back and they are my 3rd pair of CCM

I've never used knee pads. Those look and function weird. I'll look to try Warrior or Paw first. Thanks!
When will we get the PAW review? I know you briefly showed them in the warrior knee pad review

Protection on this pair isn't compromised and can still be tested, which is one of the "highlights" of the PAW pads
@@MrAndyNich That’s cool mine are supposed to ship next week ordered forever ago and my knees are really disliking the Bauer Pros I’m using right now
@HockeyReviews good to know. Sara has skills.
Thanks for confirming all my suspicions about these! Going to stick to recommending warrior and PAW!
You should look at the next level down the xf model. It's a better design in my opinion.
I looked at them before I bought these. The cap isn't protective enough and it doesn't have enough padding behind it.
True but being a goalie and owning needle and thread I sewed extra padding to the flap on the inside. Seemed to do the trick.
If I have to add mods to something to make it worthwhile, I'd just mod the Warriors and improve on something that is better to begin with.

The older ones were amazing. But to be honest the Warrior knee guards look cheap .
100 bucks CAD. Not essential.
Agree. Love the channel matt.
