This is so weird, I just found your channel and literally everything you post on here including this video are so related to literally everything in my own life. Very spooky. Anyways, I don't mean to diminish the massive impact that this video has, I also went through a big time of looking for resources on how to deal with this phobia, and found nothing. The only time I was able to get any help for it was when I literally taken to hospital in an ambulance for having such a severe panic attack when I thought I was going to be ill. This video is incredibly meaningful.
omg I wish this had been around the first time I tried to go to uni (and the 2nd time tbf) bc this is great! CBT helped me loads but on those off days it can be hard to remember everything you were taught so I think I'll be trying the candle thing when I can rather than chewing copious amounts of gum and making my jaw hurt hahah Also, how do you cope with a shared bathroom?
Katie Crowther hahah omg gum is also my best friend tho. Mints are great bc they also sooth your stomach. I have never had to share a bathroom luckily, I was too stressed by the idea of it getting super messy and gross... I guess what I would do is like emphasise how important it was to me that it stayed at least relatively clean and also just buy a bunch of cleaning products myself so that I felt in control. Like there’s this super quick and easy shower spray you can buy and u just spray it on the walls and it cleanssss so that’d be a shout.
