That injury to Libbok absolutely killed us. When I saw they were strapping his leg I thought Oh my God as I new we had no replacement flyhalf on the bench. When they took him off I immediately accepted it was over. With the newly juggled back line putting players in positions they don't play in Leinster scored immediately and the rest is history. Would definitely have been a different game if Libbok didn't get injured and we went into half time with the scores at 10 - 7.

Stormers urgently need new management, clean out the dead weight and liabilities from current squad and then build in the mid term with upcoming youngsters. Getting player reinforcements from the outside should be last resort as we will always be at a disadvantage financially to most European teams. We really need to improve and focus on keeping and developing our world class talent in the province, we can leverage our limited financial resources much more effectively here. Retain players from top rugby schools, develop and support poorer school's rugby structures and expand/develop the clubs and academy system as there is currently too big of a dropoff after school level.

Unfortunately the Stormers and most South African teams don't have the squad depth to compete in the URC and Championship Cup/ ECPR Cup. In season 1 or the URC the SA teams only had to focus on the URC. Though the SA teams did not start well, when their Springboks were done resting after the Springbok rugby in the second half of the year, it was all systems go for the SA teams. The more tired European teams with large squad depth and all after having their best players play in the six nations and also having to play in the Champions Cup/ ECPR Cup were cannon fodder and hence we ended up with a Stormers/ Bulls final. Unfortunately now that Springboks have to be rested more due to playing in two competitions teams like the Stormers are forced to choose their B side more often like against Racing 92 and their A side is allready cannon fodder due to playing too much rugby. The abnormal amount of injuries in the Stormers squad is also not helping and the more games you play the more likely injuries are. if I go back to the Super 12 in which NZ, SA and Aus teams played you had no conference system and 11 pre-play off games and a semi final and a final. Then the Super 14 came and you had 13 pre-play off games and a semi final and a final. So the Super 15 was born were more game where played but still nowhere near what is being played now. If you go all the way to the final of both the URC and the Championship Cup you are looking at something like 29 games if my math is correct. Then your Springboks also need to play their Springbok games. I believe the next step is to get rid of the conference system in URC and have everybody play everybody only once prior to the play offs. Then let the best 8 duke it out in the play offs and if Wales don't have a team in the final 8, so be it. Then you have 3 less games a season and a max of 29 games then becomes a max of 26 games. It is a start in the right direction at least. Alternatively the SA teams need to withdraw from the Championship Cup/ ECPR Cup, but that I don't want. The situation needs to be rectified however where a team like the Stormers don't play their strongest squad against Racing 92 in a critical game for a play-off spot or where the Bulls send a B-Team to play in a knockout Championship Cup game last year, where they effectively sacrifice that competition to focus on winning the URC. You see South Africans play all over the show for the various European teams and had the SA economy been stronger those players would have stayed and played in SA. Now we don't have squads that are deep enough due to our poor economy and weak rand. The flip side of the coin is with the type of exposure the SA players are getting in the European teams at the expense of their own countrymen the Springboks are spoilt for choice having so many players that can be picked from. So in effect depleting South Africa of its players it leads to a situation where Springbok rugby has become unstoppable. I am sure Snyman is not too far from Springbok selection and where Evan Roos may have sat on the bench if Snyman played for say the Stormers both are now getting a lot of top level exposure and some poor Irish rugby player is not getting much game time or getting selected at all at the expense of the SA players taking his spot. (I know their positions are different just using it as an example.)

1st 3 points for Leinster should have been obstruction called and stormers penalty, then the 1st try should've been disallowed coz Lowe made head contact probably where and when he got that mark on his cheek. Leinster kickpass try should've been disallowed for offside coz kicker is on the line and reciever starts ahead of the line. Even so Stormers played utter shit throwing balls into opponents hands in front of the tryline, like take the ball into contact, creating an offside line with a ruck, then toss the ball f'n basics.

1st 3 points for Leinster should have been obstruction called and stormers penalty, then the 1st try should've been disallowed coz Lowe made head contact probably where and when he got that mark on his cheek. Leinster kickpass try should've been disallowed for offside coz kicker is on the line and reciever starts ahead of the line. Even so Stormers played utter shit throwing balls into opponents hands in front of the tryline, like take the ball into contact, creating an offside line with a ruck, then toss the ball f'n basics.
