@@ericdavison6186 - the scrums weren’t a huge problem. But with this set of forwards we just can’t compete physically in collisions. France were comfortable to play their game and we couldn’t threaten them in attack or defence. It was almost like watching U20’s playing a men’s team.
Gatland is done, it's like a dinosaur trying to coach rugby. He can say the regions aren't producing the players but at least they can score tries and attack!

The extended highlights are super but neither of the replays for the yellow/red card incidents were shown which are a fairly big part of the game, perhaps that could be amended in the future.
When is a pass forward? 5.04 - look at the release point and the catch point. In my view it’s gone about 2.5m forward before it’s caught? I’m confused. The receiving player must be behind the passer at time of release? Then momentum is irrelevant? The ball naturally moves forward, it’s physics, yes but the receiver has also moved forward and catches the ball forwards of the original release point.
Dupont just throws the ball up in the air from behind the 5 yard line, he does not turn his hips, is facing straight forward and it is caught about 2 yards from the try line. Was it really "backwards out of the hands"? If so how does it go forward at least 3 yards? That law really needs some redefining.
France outplayed Wales by far but the 3rd French try was a 4 yard forward pass from Dupont and separation on their 5th try. VAR must have been on the Vino!!!
Slide defence is ridiculous these days, kickers can put the ball on a dime. Wales forward pack needs to find 30% more effort. Survival is not a game plan Gats. Keep the ball with the forwards, all this season. Break them to Harden them. Don't worry about the backs. When they're starved of the ball, they'll get the picture.

Pass was backwards relative to the speed of the passer. That's what the law is concerned with, not the absolute motion of the ball.
