7:20 Took me a while to figure out the Scribble to erase feature. It was driving my crazy! I had to watch the Apple demonstration a few times to figure out the trick to it. Now it works great every time! It's the same trick as drawing perfect shapes, where you draw the object and hold for a second to have it be perfect. In that same fashion, you have to scribble out what you want to erase AND HOLD FOR A SECOND. Then it works great!
I use Apple notes more than other note apps because it handles text relatively well, and across all my devices. For hand written notes I don’t want spell checking because they are for my own study and not for sharing.
Hi, thank you so much for your content! My main interest is taking notes on PDFs (which are my primary study material). Could you tell me if the native PDF editor has improved or implemented new tools in iPadOS 18?
They should also improve the continuity across mac and ios bc some markup options on ios don't show on mac that's really annoying, great though they're adding highlights that's definitely great for lectures notes a feature ive been waiting for!
I contacted Apple because I could mark up on a text block but not on typing directly into the note. Is there a work around, or is Apple indicating they are working on that issue? I enjoyed and appreciated your presentation.
Yes, we can mix handwriting with text, but not with body text. Maybe these episodes from our Apple Notes course can help: Body text (typing directly): ruclips.net/video/EOQcIE5y6Bc/видео.htmlsi=GN3yo5FOKufO246k Text boxes: ruclips.net/video/BzEipMTxL6M/видео.htmlsi=Vzw-JCzF9vrdbkPJ
@@PaperlessX it’s not - others have this I think. Try to write a word in red and then immediately switch to black, then keep writing in black. It will correct the red handwriting to black. Let me know.
Thanks! Is the font still pixel-based or did they switch to vector? Also, can you zoom in and out on handwriting? These are the main features keeping me on Notability.
Not sure I understand what you mean, but with body text, you can’t. With text boxes though you can. Please watch this tutorial we covered text in Apple Notes. U should try out nebo
Yeah! Apple Notes is great for text, if you don't want the complications of Pages.
@@PaperlessX I do research in Google NotebookLM and paste it into Apple Notes. Not ideal but it works.

Books, you mean? Or Markup? For study I wouldn't use either, but if you annotate on the PDF itself, Markup can work
it's unchanged from previous versions. pdfs are embedded within notes, so it's still a two step process to open them.
It took me forever to figure out the scribble to erase as well. But it’s very simple when you scribble just keep hold at the end
Thanks! It is easy once you figure it out.

Yeah, highlighting is great!
Exporting Apple Notes to PDF cuts off handwritten notes (in Ipad)
Is there any solution for this?
I love freeform.

Auto-Refine Handwriting in iPadOS 18 beta changes color to black when switching colors on the same line. Do you get this too?
No, it's not. You must have a bug.

Should slash command functionality come to Apple Notes or Apple Pages? Which would be the better fit?
It's probably better in Pages. What do you think?
Please tell me how to turn off spell check in ipad
It is so frustrating please please please
iPad Settings > General > Keyboard > Check Spelling. You might want to turn off Auto-Correction instead.

The ink hasn't changed, and we still can't zoom in
Do a review for notewise please
It's on our to-do list :)
Can you resize a drawing or a word in this update on old iPads? I don’t mean to zoom in and out just resize
Am not sure about old iPads, or older iPadOS but that feature has been around for a while.
Is there any easy way to create reminders from apple notes with IOS 18 ?

In ipadOS18 freeform, can you copy and press style with the shortkey option+command+c -> option+command+v like a macbook do yet in ipados18?

Hey can you make Demo video on margin note 4..
coming soon!
Apple Notes device gets hot after taking 10 pages of notes. Any solution?
Try rebooting your iPad, it might help. Adjust the brightness and using it off the charger also helps.
Thanks for sharing ✌🏻
7:52 can you use an Apple Pencil to highlight text in the typed text area or can you still not do both drawn and typed text in the same field?

I can't believe that I can select written text on iPad, but no on my Mac.
Right?!
(German) Handwriting in Notes is a mess. For that I prefer Nebo over Notes. Surely it is not a one-for-all, but good for the most things I need …
Nebo has excellent OCR.
1:19 website link please
It's on the Apple website
