Got fitted for the Max. It’s working out great for me. Have the weight set between neutral and draw but can still work the ball left to right when I need to.
Freddie - since clubs on sale now, between the max and the TD, any other weight configurations you like? I put a 6g in the max and got a little more out of it. For the TD, any logic in keeping the 14g in back and increasing the 2g in the front? Thanks!
Hmmmm ...I like the MAX at 44" with a 14g ...Plays almost like a BIG Mini-Driver haha Personally I've found the 14g in the TD at the front to be the best for ball speed ...and the faces are so forgiving, I've not seen any drawbacks in fittings ...Maybe 1 that had it at the back for the theory of forgiveness but results were better at the front!
Nice concise round up here. I was fit into Paradym X last season with Fujikura vistapro 55 R shaft. After 5 months of working with a coach left misses started being a major concern so I demo’s the smoke max and still had the lefts. Fitter suggested the triple diamond and with an 86-94SS I was curious why……spent a half hour going back and forth from max to triple diamond with the stock ventus blue 5r shaft and the triple diamond won out. Ball speed, launch conditions, ad distance were much better, than the Max, and I really preferred the look at address with the tie diamond. Over 15 rounds with it my driving distance average has gone up by 19 yards from last season. Max distance is in line with what I saw from the Paradym X - the improvement comes from the distance of mishits. A poorly struck shot with the Paradym X was 35-50 yards short of a good strike, with the AI smoke triple diamond the mishits are only coming in 15-20 yards short. For me, Callaway has really found some magic in this driver line up.
Great idea. Been trying round rake one side the course out. Is there any driver that launches low but spins above average? Almost like stinger drivers low but controlled?
If your looking for that, I'd look at low lofted, older models ...all the new stuff is largely geared up to reduce spin ...Go back in time hehe I've had a couple of scenarios looking for a similar outcome - Technique was 80% of it and using a lower tee height assisted
@FredzGolf yeah just taking inspiration from Rory stinger drives a couple weeks ago. Would be awesome if the shot tracers would add the spin rates on the shot tracers too. Been practicing teeing it down and the ones I pull off are awesome. But it's a difficult technique to not slice for me lol. Saw mattblois used to be at club champion, hitting tiger woods qi10 ls on a review a while ago he had it low but far fairway finders looked awesome
please stop buying drivers for over $400, its fictitiously allowing the sellers to raise prices beyond what would be considered reasonable. i mean $600 now, and in a few years $1,000 if we keep supporting this gouging.... $400 is fair, over that is gouging. who else agrees with me?
@@FredzGolf Me to Fred. I bought a Taylormade "Burner" for $199 years ago. Yesterday I found a use Cleveland XL2 driver used (excellent cond) for $279 which is a fair price Id say.
@@matthewthompson6329 They're hard to get hold of as so few have been released to the market 😪 I'm trying to get hold of one and a mini driver but not having much luck!!
Triple Diamond goes low and right, Max is neutral and Max D goes higher and left, relative to each other... Perhaps I cater for the 5% and I'm happy with that
I got the triple diamond and hit it straight. I was hoping for a bit more distance so I swapped the weights. I moved the 14 gram to the front and the 2 gram to the back. This lowered my spin and also added about 15-18 yards of carry to my drives. Very happy with the triple diamond. Hope this helped.
Fantastic review. You explain your demonstrations very well, probably the best I’ve seen on RUclips.
Wow, thanks!

Awesome 🙂 they are such good Drivers!!
Just copped this for 475 at the golf town sale. Absolutely sexy club and hits great too.
Bosh! Great find 👏

Magic is exactly what it is!! Absolutely love my Triple Diamond Driver for the above trends!

@nellynelson9387 ooh I may have to do my own version 😜
@FredzGolf yeah I'm really liking the idea of taking the hook miss out if my game. Be interested in seeing you with the tiger driver 😎

@breakthroughwithdr.d It is annoying though ....I remember the first Driver I bought ...top end of the market £199 Titleist 905R

Triple D ball speed lower, launch lower, spin higher but it’s 17 yards longer? 🤪
Yeah it was 20ft lower so it was coming in hot when it landed 🙃
I wish he would have added more information. It just wasn't confusing enough. For 95% of all golfers its "I hope I hit it straight"

Great review
