I bought an investment property last week in Mackay. You are right ! Mackay market is hot right now. I am following other property channels as well. But you are the first one to pick it up 🙂 Well done !

@@holyman4027 Thank you 🙂 Capital Growth Depends on the property type that you invested, insurance premium of the property, build quality of the property, rental yield, the suburb and etc. Duplexes and strata units don’t attract investors. If you had invested in a low maintenance brick property with the insurance premium below $1,600 per annum it would have been more than $100k by now. 10 years ago Mackay property was in the peak due to the mining boom. Then it fallen with the mining and the market was corrected. Now it is growing because of the less affordability of the houses of other areas in Australia. This should attract investors within next two to three years and market should increase by at least 10% as per my prediction.

Built a strata titled duplex 10years ago at EIMEO, great location, 3 bedroom's 2 bath 2 lockup , quality build. Just sold each individually, made ''ZERO'' capital growth, worst mistake i made investing in regional area, had i invested in Brisbane ,would have been a different story

I would have thought that you'd have experienced some growth over the last few years? What yeat did you sell ?
Were you owner occupier? Or were both leased out? If so did you experience any problems keeping it tenanted over that period?
