Gladstone is now selling with at least 7 offers on most properties within 3 days , Average offer is over $30,000 over the asking price , Most real estate agents are now asking for offers over , A lot of homes are not even open for locals to look at they are under offer within hours !

Agreed 100%, White Rock is the best suburb in Cairns for investment right now.

I'm also interested in North Mackay, but I've noticed that half of the area is designated as a flood zone according to the council's flood map, particularly the region near the Pioneer River. I'm unsure about the reliability of this information. Do you think the flood zone designation in North Mackay is a significant concern? It's the only thing holding me back from making an offer.

The pool restricts how much usable land you have to build on. It would have to be a long narrow house across the block with maybe a pavilion either side of the pool.

That’s weird. I guess if there’s plumbings leading to the house then it would be all disconnected. They probably would have selvaged all the pumps and electronics for the pool. So probably what you are getting is just a hole in the ground
