Hey Eric! I do this always.. I call it classroom protocols. Thanks for sharing this elaborately. We can also create a chart and stick it somewhere in the classroom. So, that they don't have to be reminded all the time. Isn't it a good idea?
It makes teaching torture! Check out other classroom strategies, there are ways to RESET your discipline, but it is not easy. In the long run, one MUST gain control or you won't last and the students will underperform. There are many videos on the playlist:
