Every 10 years or so a product comes down the path that is a game changer and 5 years from now this product that you mix will be the norm and people will wonder why they had those funny little bottles and where can they get one to use. Thanks for making the videos simple and straight forward. Happy Reefing.
Hey Jim! Very True. Thanks so much for the support. 🙏
Whoa I stumbled on your video on accident by googling all for reef. It’s me, Zak smith guy who wants the pink Goni and bought the acro and holy grail hammers
Hey! Welcome!
Nice vid mate! Glad to have found this channel
I love that stirrer!!! I need to get one ASAP. Good Job.
@@queencityreefs thanks bud!!
I'm trying All for reef myself. It's funny I was just looking at the same products on Amazon. Great video God bless bro
The bits stuck to the magnet may be strontium. Or tiny bits of metal shavings from the process equipment. 😳
Good vid.
Thanks for the content. FYI, I believe it is 160g into 900ml of water.
Subscribed!
My first batch arrived today, can’t wait to start.
You'll love it for sure! I still use it too.
@@queencityreefs will be so easy one part dose rather than 3 part. My friend put me onto it as he has had great results.
@@patiacat1 good to hear more positive feedback.
@@queencityreefs I’ll keep you posted on my attempt, great video. Thanks 👌
Running all for reef on the pico at a low dosage...Great stuff 👍
@@queencityreefs easy to dose isn't it ? 😊
@@queencityreefs yeah I think 2 part is easier after switching from balling method. Keep us updated on how you getting on.
Think it was designed to promote better stability when dosing based on Alkalinity consumption. Keep an eye on salinity as well see if it increases
I noticed the same black specs attached to mixing pill and the same fine sediment on the bottom after mixing. I wonder if we just filter it out?
Great video. Would’ve been great if you posted links to the mixer & anything else you used
Great idea. I'll do that.
Thanks for the vid, just set up my AFR with the K1 doser today. I bought the 1,000 ml liquid so I could have the container, but plan to buy the powder from now on. How long did it take to mix using the magnetic stirrer? And how have you been enjoying AFS the past month? Thanks for your videos.
@@queencityreefs just mixed up my first batch. Used a small powerhead and ran it for about 15-20 mins. Mixed well but left a brown tint to the water, not clear at all. But my first 1,000 mils worked well and the corals are looking good.
I thought you were making a gal of salution🤔 4000ml
Hey brotha, you still using this Tropic Marin All-For-Reef? I want to try this out for my nano, but I’m very skeptical with this being a formate solution. I’m currently dosing 10ml of two part solution, along with kalkwasser in my top off water. I’m not sure if this would be more of a cost effective option? One of the other reasons I like this all in one option is that I’m not adding excess sodium to the aquarium long term. Great video brotha!
@@queencityreefs Thanks for that info! My magnesium is a always running around 1500, so this probably won’t be a good option. I hope you get everything worked out on the peninsula, this hobby definitely comes with its fair share of frustration, lol!
I see in the ingredients that this has copper. Is this safe for inverts?
From what I understand about AFR, it's a bacteria formula. Is it ok to run it if you have a UV sterilizer?
You’re thinking of bactoplus. This is their calcium alkalinity and magnesium and trace mineral dosing solution to replace 2 part
Are you still using all for one? I need to supplement my Kalk.
I still use it in my anemone and qt frag tank. I used it in my peninsula but stopped for now because no corals in that anymore. I don't use it in my mega Matrix because for some reason, that tank consumes more alk than it does calcium. When I tried the alk would maintain stable but calcium was going waaaay up.
Ok, I figured I would give all for one a try. Trying to keep from having to buy another dosing pump.
If your tank consumes all at similar rates then you'll be golden. Just keep track of your parameters.
Measuring by weight is pointless. Instructions say 6 level scoops per 1000ml of rodi. Ive been importing and using the powder for over 2 years now. The 6x1000ml is perfect. Actually about to order the 33.5 pound container of afr powder next order, since I've been ordering 4x the 1600gr containers at a time anyway.
@@queencityreefs ive been ordering from stores in Germany but tm said they will ship to US distributors as special order. The German store price is about 380.00 plus shipping 🇺🇸. I'm probably ordering it through my lfs who gets it from Dallas aquatics distributorship
