I remember how she tried to shut herself off from her own child,because of her fear tthat it would all just be taken away maybe she remembers how Lucy mom was treated by JR,knowing that everything is temporary why invest you emotions in it,why feel,that's what was sad for her at this point in her life,don' get involved,avoid all emotional attachment and you won't be hurt.

Sue Ellen was furious at J.R. I don't blame her. They have had some hot & heated arguments while she was pregnant & drinking, & in the hospital; & even when she was home before John Ross was born. Then the episode when Sue Ellen told J.R she didn't give a (*) about him. I was so proud of her for standing up to him. I am going to have to bring out the dvd set with the episode. It makes me giggle. 😆

That bedroom was so cold in the early years. Way better after Sue Ellen had it redecorated later.
