It was released in 2009. Further volumes were recorded and released by the Black Dyke Band. This march was intended for street parades and open air. I have played this many times with Rugby Citadel Band, Chelmsford Citadel Band, Bromley Temple Band, Romford Centenary Halls Band, Grantham Citadel Band, Ipswich Citadel Band, Peterborough Citadel Band, Ilford Citadel Band and Exeter Temple Band and it never fails to thrill me. Godbless the Salvation Army and its music.
+David Meanwell i Have only played it with Hurstville Citadel band haha but it is still a great march
As a Salvation Army bandsman, it's fascinating to me to hear this familiar march played by a military band. And quite superbly, I might add. Well done. Army music always blesses.
Une de mes marches favorites entendues pour la première fois il y peut être 50 ans
Merci
This is one of those marches I did remember playing in the junior band of The Salvation Army
God Bless
March of the marches👍👍 Great performance.
One of my favorite SA marches
Brings back vivid memories of marching, in the mid-70s, to the Cenotaph in Whitehall, carrying the Union Flag, alongside the Regent Hall ("Rink") band's flag on one of the few times (if not the only one) that a serving soldier (military and Salvation Army) marched (in khaki) with the Rink to the SA's own Remembrance parade. A rare honour and privilege to literally march Under Two Flags (to quote the title of another great SA march they played) as well as this special one (for me), which was named for the SA's ministry to the military of the time.
Played this with Blackpool Citadel Band mid 1980s. Great march.

Henry Goffin knew how to write a great march!
Agreed, great March.. anyone know the composer?
Sharif.
I came from Blackpool Citadel,, my father is Trevor Worthington..
Was your dad at Hinckley at any time? When I joined the junior band at Hinckley Temple SA in the 1960s a Trevor Worthington was the YP Bandmaster. He left to go to Hull and his brother Baz took over from him.
Yes. He was born in Hinckley,,
He passed away two years ago, and my mom, passed away last week at the ages of 93
Who is the composer?
Where can I find youthful warriors
