  • This week we're installing a Tacoma custom front bumper. Jay finally received his RRW Hybrid bumper and Smittybilt gen3 winch. Here's the install, and quick review. We gotta figure out why it's rattling...

    WARN Winch! Bumper looks great but you need a WARN Winch “never let you down”!!!

    Did you have yo change the springs or anything on suspension to compensate for the weight ?

    • @EverymanOverland
      @EverymanOverland  Год назад +1

      Not on the front. He's been through a couple spring packs in the rear getting it right, but the ironman fcp has adjustable spring perches on the front so we just turned them up a bit. Easy....

    Does your tacoms have TSS? Couldnt see in the video and im curious if the low loop interferes with TSS

    do the fog lights come all together like that or did u have to buy them all separate

    • @EverymanOverland
      @EverymanOverland  Год назад

      They were all separate. There are mounting tabs on the bumper, but the lights were all purchased separately.

      @@raymondmunoz1457 you got me. I think it's a sharp bumper. Maybe they just decided they were better sticking to making wheels. If you're in the SC area, I have a guy that could make you one... Check out chad at Bash Fabrication. Does great work!

    I'm interested in purchasing the same bumper and fog light package. If you can post a link to purchase them, i will greatly appreciate it.

      From Jay: They discontinued this bumper so you can't go out and buy one now.. all LEDs in bumper are from diode dynamics.
      Warn is overrated and overpriced lol
      No my Tacoma doesn't have TSS thank god. I have a 2017 which was the year before TSS was implemented across all Toyota models.

    If I was doing some serious off roading alone, then the winch would be advisable.. to get unstuck.. otherwise.. not needed in 99% off roading. seriuously, you could of just gotten another winch that does not have the control on top and saved yourself a heap of trouble adjusting all that on the winch, I have seen people cut off the bottom of that bracket that is part of the hood latch by an inch or so to fit the winch. just saying.. it is more psychology ... women like shoes, men like bumber winches..

    • @EverymanOverland

      Well, we do some serious off roading, and that winch has been used plenty... Jay made the right move here.
