I’ve been drooling over Uintah Precisions bolt action AR uppers but I just couldn’t justify the price. You just made my day!
Hopefully y’all will release an AR-10 upper!
Bolt rifles are fun and I enjoy mine all the time, I want a AR-10 308 bolt next
X2
X3
X4
I would’ve bought one!
Agree. Ill buy if it's a 308. Would be nice to plug in a 308 mag that can fit buy single loading would be cool.
That's going to confuse the anti gun crowd.
If they just gave it a wood paint job too!
Lol
All the more reason to love it
@@oscarfigueroa520buy aftermarket wood furniture for it
Good
Can’t wait to see what other calibers will be available
I feel like I'm one of the few people who's had little to no issues with BCA's products, can't wait to try it out.
I’m 2/2 😂
I love all my BCA products
I hope you never do there customer service is horrible . Temu has better customer service
@ well I live 45 minutes away from their warehouse worst case I’ll take it to them
Best to keep calling for 20 mins straight and youll get someone @rkelley8475
I had to go check a calendar to make sure it wasn't april 1st.
My question is, will you offer this in an AR10 variation.
308 and 6.5 Creedmoor?
Yup, I'm excited for this. I was looking not too long ago at bolt action uppers and the only ones could find cost as must as my car. Glad to see BCA stepping in the ring.
I ordered the 5.56 bolt action upper from Bear Creek Arsenal today, and it's on it's way tonite! Now THAT is customer service!
I really got excited when I saw the email from BCA about them being available. Seems like a good time to get a 350 upper, but love to see one in 223 Wylde too. I would even get one in 22 LR
I have the .17HMR upper from BCA and am very happy with it. So much so that I also purchased the .22WMR and the 9mm.
And 300 BO and 45acp
We need this on the BC-10 receiver too! Great job guys!
Thanks, we're exploring different options for our platform, keep an eye on the newsletter for upcoming releases!
I’m thinking 300 blackout bolt upper. With a can would be whisper quiet. A 20 inch 6.5 Grendel would be pretty awesome also.
Been wanting this for years
Ordered a 350 Legend on the 9th and was Delivered Today 11 Dec to South Carolina. I put it on a A2 Style Stock Lower to get the feel of how the bolt would work. No Mag or Scope yet so will have to wait until I get to the Range to see how it Cycles with ammo and Fires and what accuracy is there. The Bolt Carrier is certainly interesting. The Rear of the Bolt Carrier Group pushes the Buffer back in the Buffer Tube slightly when cycling. The Spring/Buffer does not assist in pushing the Bolt Handle forward. I have several BCA Uppers 223, 5.56 and 7.62x39 both Rear Charging as well as Side Charging and have had absolutely no issues at all. The Assault Rifle Haters are for sure going to be confused by this one.
Do you think the bolt action would work well with the polymer lowers? Since it’s not semi auto and the bcg isn’t constantly riding back and forth should it help with the durability concerns of polymer?
@@rc5567 I have never owned any Polymer Lowers. I put mine on a PSA Stealth Stripped Lower with a A2 Rifle Stock, I going to try to get to the Range sometime this week.
Does it use the same barrels as any ar-15? Can you switch out bolts also? Say for instance I bought the 350 legend and want to turn it into a 224 Valkyrie. If I have the bolt and barrel sitting around can they be swapped? Or is it proprietary to there stuff.
@@WestVirginiaLRS Yeah, read the reviews on their website. One guy switched his to a 224 Valkyrie. I want to do one in 22 or 6 ARC myself.
Hey do you have to use a buffer in the tube? I figure I would remove it to save weight.
I messaged cmmg about a design like this last year. Glad to see someone had the idea. Hopefully these uppers can be for sale in states with AWBS? I like this much better than the kalikey.
Uintah Precision
@ They're really pricy for an upper though. For me anyway.
@@IC3R3AP3Rgrotesquely overpriced
Will be checking website for a 6.5 grendel or 6 arc. To have this as an affordable option for people that like the customization aspect of an ar but don't care to target shoot a semi auto is amazing!
10 -12 inch 300 black out and 350 legend for a pistol lower for shotgun slug and pistol zone deer season would be great
Don't forget a faster twist rate, like a 1:10 for subsonic stability.👍
I am passing on the 350 legend until the twist is faster than their current 1:16 twist.
Barrel swap is easy
I'd be very interested in an AR10 variation (6.5 Creedmoor and 308)
Or even the AR-15 in 6.5 Grendel.
I forgot to add in lefthanded, considering that I'm a southpaw.
I'm torn on this, I like to concept, but at the same time, if I want a bolt gun, I think I'd be better off buying a standard bolt gun.
Actually, this is a much cheaper route to go. You can buy one lower and have a good trigger in it and swap in so many different uppers to use on it very quickly
Right!!! That’s my whole take on this
Bolt rifles, atleast good ones, tend to be very pricey. So this provides us AR guys with a bolt action feel, while letting us use what we already have plenty of, quality lowers. 😅
@@Ky_Mycology I’m not arguing, I’m going to get one lol
Good ideal for a new addition to the collection 👍🇺🇸
Very cool ❤ happy see this for Pennsylvania bc we cant use a ar15 in semi-auto for large game.
@@jamespugh
Tyrants at the ATF will see this as "avoiding compliance with gun ban rules"
Everyone else, that isn't a communist, sees this as innovation.
DAMN, "was" going to buy the .350 Legend. Then saw 6.5 Grendel. Not sure if I want the 20" or 22" -- THANK YOU, BCA for coming out with these uppers!!!!! For a long while I'd been wanting a Uintah Precision Upper BUT, they were so darn expensive 😒. Y'all ROCK!!!!!
Glad to hear you're excited about our new uppers! We're happy to offer affordable quality options.
Awesome. Ready for more cartridge offerings
Thanks, we're excited to see where we can take this platform!
@@Bear_Creek_ArsenalHow would these work on the polymer lowers? Would the bolt action help with the durability concerns of the polymer?
With a side charge upper a conventional bolt is totally unnecessary. I shoot all of my gen 1 side chargers left handed. One of them I converted to to a straight pull bolt by blocking the gas port. This allows me to use my support hand to slap the bolt back and let the recoil spring drive it back into battery. For right hand shooters a left hand side charge with right side eject would be optimum but right side eject wouldn't be a problem. I get *all* the benefits of a bolt at three times the speed. I learned this trick while working in the UK 30 years ago, I'm surprised you didn't pick up on it.
22 and 6mm arc and i am in.
Awesome. Now i wanna build a 16 inch .450 on a polymer lower.
BCA always impressing me. I'm still waiting for a 6.5 prc,7mm prc and the one I would really want the 300prc AR.
At comes out in 300win mag I'm definitely getting one. I have a bca 308 and it's fantastic
Effing LOVE this concept!!! I'll be buying one... Please do more calibers.... .223 Wylde, 6.5 Gren, 6mm Arc, 204 Ruger, etc... Even if it's a custom order and I have to wait 4 months for the upper to ship... I'd do it. This would be VERY fun, and keep costs down with just one REALLY nice lower to keep track of.
Thanks for the feedback! We're excited about the possibilities of this platform too.
@@Bear_Creek_Arsenal You're welcome! And thanks for putting out cool, affordable, and solid products! We all know you're not S Tier, but a lot of us aren't S Tier shooters or have S Tier money, and you and PSA are doing the heavy lifting for the common man, and even for those who might just want to experiment with a new caliber without breaking the bank.
6.5 Grendal on the Site now
@@lylecoggins5444 Thanks!!!!
Ive reached out to BCA several times about this and man am I glad someone over there had this idea too. Only one other company makes a bolt action ar and they are disgustingly overpriced and their site is constantly screwed up. I'll take the BCA upper any day of the week, twice on sunday.
If your referring to the ALT opp shop one your 100% correct that thing is way over priced.
Glad there is another option available
I need one!! Not in those calibers but I need one
Make an AR10 version please! One chambered in .308 with a long barrel and the other 8.6 blk pistol length upper.
Now do it in AR-10 Calibers, .i.e. .243. and 7mm-08.
Thank you. You are the only other person I have seen ask for 7mm-08. Why is it only a custom thing. Easily one of the best all around calibers there is.
to have that old timey bolt action battle rifle, but all current bolt actions are ww2 relics or expensive high precision rifles, this is the best option for scratching in itch thats wont break the bank
Thank you for making a bolt action for us in Connecticut please make a 400 legend
Any chance there's going to be a 400 Legend or an 8. 6 blackout?
Where's the 24" 223 Wylde bolt action at?
WOW! That's a GREAT IDEA! There are states where the original AR is heavily restricted + now it will chamber an even larger array of cartridges as you no longer need to worry about a gas operated system, Lets see other calibers like the 6.5 Grendel, 5.56, 7.62X39, etc soon + some that have never been in an AR platform
Yes! We're excited to explore what we can offer with this design.
No threaded barrel + bolt action upper means you can sell complete milspec lowers to WA residents as long as it's a solid as a full rifle
It can have a threaded barrel if it's bolt action
@MisterD293 Not in Washington. Absolutely nothing can be sold with a threaded barrel rn.
@MoH_Dank well damn I got lucky I guess.
@@MoH_Dankactually no i didn't

(c) "Assault weapon" does not include antique firearms, any firearm that has been made permanently inoperable, or any firearm that is manually operated by bolt, pump, lever, or slide action.
@@MisterD293 HB 1240

Chapter 9.41 RCW
Defines a threaded barrel as a barrel designed to attach a flash suppressor, muzzle brake, sound suppressor, or similar item.
Make a SINGLE-SHOT bolt-action .308Win/6.5CM for the AR15 (not AR10)
Would be awesome for long range target shooting (not high-volume plinking at $2/rd).
Lol where you getting your ammo? You getting gypped.

BCA could be the first and only to allow AR10 calibers on an AR15 (even if single-shot bolt-action).

I Hope they have plans for a ar-10 style bolt action!
Ok, I need answers lol. Is the bolt head proprietary, are the barrels proprietary (non ar15 shank, obviously will be lacking a gas port)
The Bolt appears to be a standard AR 15 Bolt, no different. The Carrier is different. When you push the Bolt Carrier Group forward and rotate the handle down the Bolt Locks into the Locking Lugs of the Barrel Extension. The Feed Ramps appear the same as a standard AR Barrel. The Cam Pin is on the Top of the Carrier and rides in the slot where the Charging Handle would be. There is a Spring inside the Bolt Carrier that goes in before you place the Bolt inside the Carrier and you put in the Firing Pin Retaining Pin. The creates a movement of the Bolt within the Carrier. When you cycle the bolt to the rear the carrier pushes back on the Buffer/Spring and Gas Tube slightly. When you push the Bolt forward and down the lugs on the Bolt Face Lock in the Locking Lugs on the Barrel Extension. There is of course no Gas system so I would think that when you cycle the bolt to the rear you are re-cocking the hammer in the lower. I did not cycle any Ammo since I do not have a Magazine yet. Since there is no gas released Back into the upper the locking Lugs stay locked until you unlock them by rotating the handle uo and to the rear.
I think that the 6mm ARC would be great for that and a 300 Blackout for running subs.
What is going on with the lever action lower you teased?
Yea kinda wondering 🤔. Herd of few others making one also
I want a lever action lower with a bolt action upper 😂
Been pushed back to 2025 sometime.

Would these bolt action uppers help mitigate or exploit the short comings of polymer lowers?
I'm looking forward to seeing a BC-8 Huntmaster bolt action.
I wonder if this upper could be made to work with the Fightlite SCR lower
Please make a lefty version 🙏
I shoot right handed but a friend has a left handed bolt action and it's so nice.
why, no one cares about lefties :)
do you guys plan on selling just the upper receiver and bolt and also AR10 variants?
i just Bought a bolt action 308 on the 30th it not even at my FFL yet.
Need the 300blk and 6.5 grendel. . Also need to make complete rifles for 5.56 and .223 wylde for those who are in restricted states to be able to shoot 5.56 again
Please make a ar10 version!!!
I have so many questions. Does the barrel use a standard m4 extension such that barrels could be readily swapped? The 22.5 degree throw seems to suggest so. Is the bolt head also standard? Can a folding stock be installed, or does the BCG dip into the buffer tube?
12.7x42 upper?
I have been using a Bear Creek side charging upper in 300 blackout for years. I have the gas completely shut off and use it as a straight pull bolt gone to help keep the noise down. Bear Creek will the bolt handle on this new rifle mate up with the current gen 2 side charging bolt?. I get that running it semi auto might bruise a knuckle but I am thinking it will improve my current setup as a straight pull bolt gun.
Cannot wait for some other calibers and just the. upper and bolt to be available.
Bear creek! 7mm-08 damn it!
Can’t wait to hear pundits talking about the fully automatic bolt action assault rifle. 😂
Works on all uppers? 😅 you would need their receiver or cut into the receiver you already have to have the bolt in lock position
Mine is on its way!
How about a straight pull for the smaller calibers? You know the rage in Europe like the Schmeiser AR?!?
MRA in Canada makes these. Amazing
Maybe start shipping to CT again
We have opened the Bolt Action Style lineup for CT, IL, and WA. Only this product can be placed to your cart

308 ar10 version when?
I’ll be purchasing mine very shortly. In 450 bushmaster.
Very interesting,
wanted to convert my 6.8spc to bolt action
Why is this better than just closing the gas block on a side charge upper?
308 next please
Please make muzzleloader upper.. .45 or .50
Flintlock 😂
6.8 western would be KING!
Hope you do a 300 BO soon ;) ;)
Why the 450 bush. & 350 leg. and not the 6mm arc and the 6.5 gredal
Does this use a standard AR15 barrel? The reason I'm asking is because I know that 223/556, 300 AAC, and 350 legend use the same bcg. I'd love one of these, just not in 350 legend or 458 socom. I'd be all about Installing a 300 AAC barrel, if it is doable.
Yes
Are you using a standard bolt and barrel extention? Or is that proprietary?
BCA you should consider a 50 caliber muzzleloader upper
If I put a wood stock on it will it be legal in California?
Only thing legal in California is crime.
Make it for 6mm arc or 6.5 Grendel
6.5 Grendel is there, check the Site

Do these take standard ar15 barrels?
Yes
@ Nice! Thank you! I built a Wilson combat AR15 300 ham’r. A bear creek bolt action is on my shopping list now.
Finally figured out a way to make one of your 350 uppers work 😂😂😂
I love it! Are the barrels different? Or are the gas ports just plugged? And do you leave the buffer and spring in or take them out?
It will make chambering that first round much quieter in the woods. And a 300 blk would be whisper quiet with the right set up with this
Buffer and spring stay in. They said it uses regular barrels but no gas block. Not sure if it's plugged to not. I ordered mine today, so I should find out in a few days.
They probably just don’t drill em
Been waiting for this to come out for years but now they don’t ship to my state 😕
The Bolt Action Style lineup can be shipped to CT, IL, and WA. But this is the only product that can be added to your cart
@ Hey, Thanks for the reply but I’m in NJ unfortunately
Make a model on your long action ar
No need for a buffer tube then right?
Might still need the tub for the bolt to travel but I’m guessing you wouldn’t need the spring.
Left hand option?
I must have it!!
Now we need a lever action ar15 lower thanks
Troy made a pump action ar about 10 years ago
Could we get some 6.8spc love?
