I struggling last weeks about one thing - I creating different types of designs like patterns, solo t-shirt image, photomanipulations (square images with background) and all of them in kinda different style and fits the most different types of products. My question is - Should I create several shops in Redbubble to separate all my art by styles (like niches), example one for patterns, one for t-shirts, and so on, or better have it in one shop? Also would like to ask you - what you think about changing default view for pattern designs? Better to put def view on some special product or leave it in automatic mode? Greg, one favor, my blog is almost perfect; you are the man, thank you so much. My only problem is the image on my blog looks perfect, but then when I publish it it too large for homepage, and for the life of me I cant figure out how to crop to get to fit. Similar to the problem you had with your rock climbing shoe image. Do I just need to find another image? I made it as small as possible 200 X 200 but the top is 'cut off', and it is SO difficult to adjust, Thanks for your help.

I'm looking at Keyword Planner, but (please don't judge-this is embarrassing) even though I bought a $12/yr web site from Google, Keyword Planner asks for a link to it, and I can't find my website anywhere! I found another keyword tool (keywordtool.io), so I'll probably use that one if I can ever locate my website. I think I'm just learning too much all at once, and until I become more familiar with all the steps I'm taking and map out all the directions I'm going, I'll have to learn how to juggle everything in a more productive manner. I DO appreciate all your help, though! This is probably a long-shot question, but can you offer any advice on finding my missing website?

there's a reason this video has so many positive views, it's because what Greg teaches works, and I'm talked to many people who are being successful doing it. I remember reading once that only about 5% of people who are successful ever announce their success on youtube videos. At first I didn't understand why, and now I do. When someone says that they have been successful, all you get are tons of annoying comments from people asking "what are you selling?" or "Can you help me?" Instead of just watching what Greg teaches and doing it! I mean, once I'm really successful, I don't ever plan on posting it for the same reason. Although I will give a Thumbs up to the Video.....

Thanks for considering me on this question! That's a very good question actually! It's definitely not something that would be offered by default from WIX, and I don't know of any apps that offer it either (currently). You could probably make it with WIX code and Member Pages for the login, but if it's only your courses I would recommend a free Thinkific account, however if it's meant to be a marketplace for many instructors and courses, I don't have a helpful answer besides coding it by hand... I wish I had something better for you on this!

My question is...When using Wix, Is it true that you can only have one domain per premium account? Wouldn't it get very expensive if you wanted to have many sites? I like the WIX platform, Just think it could be pricey .. correct me if im wrong. Thanks!
Thanks Michael and great question! Yes you definitely only get 1 domain per premium subscription (you can change the domain connected, but it's still 1 site per premium subscription). If you have multiple sites, it can definitely add up, but the idea is that you build 1, until it starts making enough to cover it's costs and then you can add another. They tend to take a few months to start earning, but then they keep growing over time. I wouldn't recommend going for multiple WIX sites right off the bat, as that could be pretty pricey! All in all, WIX is definitely worth the cost for it's ease of use and easy SEO. I hope that helps!
Hi Greg! This is a great tutorial and has helped me immensely in getting into affiliate marketing. I do have a question about niche specific sites. I've started making a site for portable fans. However, when I look at competitors, their sites are about more than just portable fans and include broader niches such as travel needs and just have a lot more content than 30 posts. So I guess my question is how specific or broad does my niche need to be?
Excellent question! The broader the niche, the more articles you're going to need to compete. The more specific your niche, the better you will rank. Especially in the beginning, I recommend going with the more specific niche. Then down the road if you want to expand, you can start adding in more categories to broaden your site. I hope that helps!
One thing that I do not understand is if I want to have different things like a phone and an AirPods do I put them in the blog or do I duplicate the site. Because if someone is looking for a phone they will only see the phone not the AirPods. Hope you understand my question. Great video and very simple love it
Hi. I kinda have a similar dilemma. In Greg's example, the niche is pretty straightforward, a website about rock climbing shoes - the niche itself is a type of product, not a wider niche like rock climbing or yoga, or even microgreens and converted van, which he mentions in his other videos. Let's say our website is about the converted van niche. What kind of products would he use in his reviews? As I know of, Amazon is not selling these vans but some kind of equipment for them, but those products might not even mention the niche itself in the product descriptions, so would these random van products be relevant to the affiliate niche site we are building? @Greg Gottfried

Hi Kelvin, Thanks for asking about this! It's actually after you upload it! Once it's uploaded, then you can hit the design icon and you can choose small medium or large for the image size. I hope that helps!

I want to choose Self Care... but as I was brainstorming content, I came up with MANY categories that factor into Self Care. Can I do ONE website but add all the blog categories and still rank? My original reason for starting down the affiliate marketing path was to post links on Pinterest. But I read a few articles recommending that it's worth the time to create a blog to PIN from. Excellent question! Yes, setting that overall niche will give you plenty of space to create sub-categories on your site. I think it's a good idea! Let me know if you run into any other questions!

Hey Greg, thanks so much for all the information. I have a few question regarding the choice of niche, because I feel that's one of the key points for success: which of the two factors (Keyword difficulty vs Search volume) would you say is more important? Would you rather go with a niche that has a 100K monthly search volume with a 37 KD (which is dangerously close to your magic line of 39), or for example a niche that has 27 KD (so it seems pretty unsaturated), but only has a 1600 monthly search volume? I'm asking this because you said 1000 SV is optimum and even 500 is enough, but I have so far very easily discovered niches that go well beyond that (and stay below 39 KD), while generally finding ''green'' niches, with KD way below 39 seems harder... I've also found a few niches with gigantic search volumes (over a million), but with KD being around 45. Would you say that the huge search volume makes up for the keyword difficulty or not? Thanks in advance for your answer!
Question regarding length of posts - I've read/seen alot while researching affiliate marketing that posts should be 1000-1500 words + in order to get noticed on Google. Was the climbing shoe post here just an example, as it seemed less than 1000 words? Or do review posts not need to be very long? Thanks again for all the great content! I'm learning a ton
Great question! Yes, always 1000+ words. You can get by with 800+ but Google loves "meaty" posts. I recommend 1000-3000 words per post. Sorry for not clarifying this in the video, I totally should have! Thank you for bringing this to my attention!

@@robertheld4947 I don't usually get questions over there. Let me have a look.. Ok I see. In regards to camera equipment I use a Logitech Brio for inside shots and an iPhone for outside shots. If you want to go the next level, then I recommend a Canon M50 or a Sony A7ii with a 16-35 lens.
It definitely is, it just does not have a flip out screen (so you cant see yourself to make sure the shot is good and in focus) and it does not have a external microphone plug.

You can put clean ads in the sidebar or you can make a resources page if it's relevant. As long as it "makes sense" and doesnt seem spammy, you should be fine.

Greg its really hard for me to invest those 17 dollars a month during a year knowing I will not see any profit. Do you think i should focus on print on demand for now and if I see success with that I can expand to affiliate marketing?
If it's too much now, then yes focus on POD until you have enough to cover the expense of affiliate marketing. You can always consider using WordPress too (it's cheaper per month).
Hey Greg, I've been working on a Wix site for a few weeks now and my Google Adsense just got approved. Unfortunately, it now says I need to upload a ads.txt file to the root domain of my site and I'm unsure how to do that. Google supplied me with the file but I do not know where to place it within the site editor. Any advice?
Hey no worries at all! As long as you have the Adsense code in the header, WIX will do the ads.txt file for you. If you need to do the header code, you can copy it from Adsense, go to WIX dashboard, click tracking/analytics, add code, header, load once all pages, paste the code :)

@@ericharmon5075 turns out we have to do nothing. I figured that since this is a 2019 toturial, wix has prob changed a couple things by now and that's one of them. If you pay attention you'll see that in the menu bar, there isn't a blog option at all. When I say menu bar, it's the one in the frontpage when visitors come to your website.

Just a quick tip for people watching this. You really need to know about the industry you're going in to or research beforehand, the first example given was "rock climbing shoes" and he said that he would probably disregard bouldering shoe however, bouldering is a form of climbing so you could use that keyword easily. Research is the key. Great video by the way

Wow man! this video is just full of useful and helpful info. My head is spinning and I'm excited to get started. Your video was the first suggested video that popped up when I was researching how to build my affiliate account on Wix. I started a youtube channel just over a year ago and was accepted into youtubes paid partner program. So far it's been a little $ here and there, but I wanted to optimize income from social media and started looking into affiliate programs last year as well. It seemed the only answer was to keep referring to products in my video and set up links in my video descriptions. Those links haven't seen much action, so I wanted to find out what else to do. I struggling last weeks about one thing - I creating different types of designs like patterns, solo t-shirt image, photomanipulations (square images with background) and all of them in kinda different style and fits the most different types of products. My question is - Should I create several shops in Redbubble to separate all my art by styles (like niches), example one for patterns, one for t-shirts, and so on, or better have it in one shop? Also would like to ask you - what you think about changing default view for pattern designs? Better to put def view on some special product or leave it in automatic mode? My only problem is the image on my blog looks perfect, but then when I publish it it too large for homepage, and for the life of me I cant figure out how to crop to get to fit. Similar to the problem you had with your rock climbing shoe image. Do I just need to find another image? I made it as small as possible 200 X 200 but the top is 'cut off', and it is SO difficult to adjust, Thanks for your help.

I'm looking at Keyword Planner, but (please don't judge-this is embarrassing) even though I bought a $12/yr web site from Google, Keyword Planner asks for a link to it, and I can't find my website anywhere! I found another keyword tool (keywordtool.io), so I'll probably use that one if I can ever locate my website. I think I'm just learning too much all at once, and until I become more familiar with all the steps I'm taking and map out all the directions I'm going, I'll have to learn how to juggle everything in a more productive manner. I DO appreciate all your help, though! This is probably a long-shot question, but can you offer any advice on finding my missing website?

there's a reason this video has so many positive views, it's because what Greg teaches works, and I'm talked to many people who are being successful doing it. I remember reading once that only about 5% of people who are successful ever announce their success on youtube videos. At first I didn't understand why, and now I do. When someone says that they have been successful, all you get are tons of annoying comments from people asking "what are you selling?" or "Can you help me?" I am looking for a way to make a Wix website to host online courses
. Apparently we would need to use some apps and since you have a lot of experience with creating websites, i want to ask you if you have any videos or courses where you teach how to create a website that can host courses like those hosted on Udemy?
In particular where students can log in, then purchase a course with a 1 time fee and
have lifetime access to that particular course? A website that would allow the students to download the videos and/or stream live from the site? I am interested to host my own courses at the moment.

Thanks for considering me on this question! That's a very good question actually! It's definitely not something that would be offered by default from WIX, and I don't know of any apps that offer it either (currently). You could probably make it with WIX code and Member Pages for the login, but if it's only your courses I would recommend a free Thinkific account, however if it's meant to be a marketplace for many instructors and courses, I don't have a helpful answer besides coding it by hand... I wish I had something better for you on this!

Wouldn't it get very expensive if you wanted to have many sites? I like the WIX platform, Just think it could be pricey .. correct me if im wrong. Thanks!
Thanks Michael and great question! Yes you definitely only get 1 domain per premium subscription (you can change the domain connected, but it's still 1 site per premium subscription). If you have multiple sites, it can definitely add up, but the idea is that you build 1, until it starts making enough to cover it's costs and then you can add another. They tend to take a few months to start earning, but then they keep growing over time. I wouldn't recommend going for multiple WIX sites right off the bat, as that could be pretty pricey! All in all, WIX is definitely worth the cost for it's ease of use and easy SEO. I hope that helps!
Hi Greg! This is a great tutorial and has helped me immensely in getting into affiliate marketing. I do have a question about niche specific sites. I've started making a site for portable fans. However, when I look at competitors, their sites are about more than just portable fans and include broader niches such as travel needs and just have a lot more content than 30 posts. So I guess my question is how specific or broad does my niche need to be?
Excellent question! The broader the niche, the more articles you're going to need to compete. The more specific your niche, the better you will rank. Especially in the beginning, I recommend going with the more specific niche. Then down the road if you want to expand, you can start adding in more categories to broaden your site. I hope that helps!

Hi. I kinda have a similar dilemma. In Greg's example, the niche is pretty straightforward, a website about rock climbing shoes - the niche itself is a type of product, not a wider niche like rock climbing or yoga, or even microgreens and converted van, which he mentions in his other videos. Let's say our website is about the converted van niche. What kind of products would he use in his reviews? As I know of, Amazon is not selling these vans but some kind of equipment for them, but those products might not even mention the niche itself in the product descriptions, so would these random van products be relevant to the affiliate niche site we are building? @Greg Gottfried

Hi Kelvin, Thanks for asking about this! It's actually after you upload it! Once it's uploaded, then you can hit the design icon and you can choose small medium or large for the image size. I hope that helps!

I want to choose Self Care... but as I was brainstorming content, I came up with MANY categories that factor into Self Care. Can I do ONE website but add all the blog categories and still rank? My original reason for starting down the affiliate marketing path was to post links on Pinterest. But I read a few articles recommending that it's worth the time to create a blog to PIN from. Hey Greg, thanks so much for all the information. I have a few question regarding the choice of niche, because I feel that's one of the key points for success: which of the two factors (Keyword difficulty vs Search volume) would you say is more important?
Would you rather go with a niche that has a 100K monthly search volume with a 37 KD (which is dangerously close to your magic line of 39), or for example a niche that has 27 KD (so it seems pretty unsaturated), but only has a 1600 monthly search volume?
I'm asking this because you said 1000 SV is optimum and even 500 is enough, but I have so far very easily discovered niches that go well beyond that (and stay below 39 KD), while generally finding ''green'' niches, with KD way below 39 seems harder...
I've also found a few niches with gigantic search volumes (over a million), but with KD being around 45. Would you say that the huge search volume makes up for the keyword difficulty or not?

Question regarding length of posts - I've read/seen alot while researching affiliate marketing that posts should be 1000-1500 words + in order to get noticed on Google. Was the climbing shoe post here just an example, as it seemed less than 1000 words? Or do review posts not need to be very long? Thanks again for all the great content! I'm learning a ton

Great question! Yes, always 1000+ words. You can get by with 800+ but Google loves "meaty" posts. I recommend 1000-3000 words per post. Sorry for not clarifying this in the video, I totally should have! Thank you for bringing this to my attention!

It definitely is, it just does not have a flip out screen (so you cant see yourself to make sure the shot is good and in focus) and it does not have a external microphone plug.

You can put clean ads in the sidebar or you can make a resources page if it's relevant. As long as it "makes sense" and doesnt seem spammy, you should be fine.

Greg its really hard for me to invest those 17 dollars a month during a year knowing I will not see any profit. Do you think i should focus on print on demand for now and if I see success with that I can expand to affiliate marketing?
If it's too much now, then yes focus on POD until you have enough to cover the expense of affiliate marketing. You can always consider using WordPress too (it's cheaper per month).
Hey Greg, I've been working on a Wix site for a few weeks now and my Google Adsense just got approved. Unfortunately, it now says I need to upload a ads.txt file to the root domain of my site and I'm unsure how to do that. Google supplied me with the file but I do not know where to place it within the site editor. Any advice?
Hey no worries at all! As long as you have the Adsense code in the header, WIX will do the ads.txt file for you. If you need to do the header code, you can copy it from Adsense, go to WIX dashboard, click tracking/analytics, add code, header, load once all pages, paste the code :)

@@ericharmon5075 turns out we have to do nothing. I figured that since this is a 2019 toturial, wix has prob changed a couple things by now and that's one of them. If you pay attention you'll see that in the menu bar, there isn't a blog option at all. When I say menu bar, it's the one in the frontpage when visitors come to your website.
Do websites like these really bring in a good amount of money?

So I was planning on making a graphic design focused blog primarily. ... but after watching this im going to also try a different topic that will rank better and utilize wix, keeping the design blog as more of a passion blog.

Just a quick tip for people watching this. You really need to know about the industry you're going in to or research beforehand, the first example given was "rock climbing shoes" and he said that he would probably disregard bouldering shoe however, bouldering is a form of climbing so you could use that keyword easily. Research is the key. Great video by the way

Wow man! this video is just full of useful and helpful info. My head is spinning and I'm excited to get started. Your video was the first suggested video that popped up when I was researching how to build my affiliate account on Wix.
I started a youtube channel just over a year ago and was accepted into youtubes paid partner program. So far it's been a little $ here and there, but I wanted to optimize income from social media and started looking into affiliate programs last year as well. It seemed the only answer was to keep referring to products in my video and set up links in my video descriptions. Those links haven't seen much action, so I wanted to find out what else to do.

What impressed me is that you avoided the "awesome", "super excited to be here", "...even a 10-year-old can do this..", refrained from foul language and the content---terrific!!!! Just one question---can I purchase domains from other providers such as GoDaddy, Hostgator, Blue Host etc OR do I need to have the plan provided by Wix? Still, the best post-RUclips video I have seen and there have been many!!!! Again well done

I’m a writer so jumping into video is difficult for me, as I previously explained to you. Writing a blog, I don’t have to worry about people seeing me.
