Unconventional layout to say the least. The stove in front of a radiator in the middle of the kitchen space, why??😂

At least you'd never be cold in the kitchen in winter with the stove, radiator and hob all on top of each other like that!

@@user-s1o3nr532if anything that would make it too hot and unbearable as you wouldn’t really be able to open any hatches etc especially on our cold cold winter days

The positioning of the stove was one of the few things that I didn't like. There was plenty of space in the corner of the longue by the steps

Frame this comment from me: ‘good price for the year. ‘
I can’t remember the last time I said that here .
Silly sellers… take note of what a realistic price is .
Seen way higher for ridiculous boats 15 yrs older .
The stove can be sorted easily enough with a tiny hit of the 15k your saving on older silly priced boats

Were they high when then decided to install a stove in the kitchen next to a radiator! Quite dangerous too

I think the idea is to centralise the heat source so the whole boat gets the benefit but i agree that the positioning wih the radiator would be problematic! I do like my woodburner next to my kitchen as i use it a lot in the winter to keep a kettle on - but not IN the kitchen like that - looks like an afterthought?

I understand the solid fuel stoce in the center distributes more even heating.

Really strange layout, what with the inappropriately positioned wood burning stove in the middle of the kitchen, (surely it’s dangerous there?) and why would you do the bed like THAT in the front bedroom? What’s the benefit? Good price though

Why did the boat designers/ fitters put the stove in the galley and in front of a radiator? I don’t get the reasoning behind that idea.

For the stove comments they put it in the middle of the boat which to me makes sense best layout I've seen in a reverse layout put a compost loo in and your good to go

Very mysterious (to RVer in USA) why all these UK boats are all built like submarines, with just a few tiny windows. What's the attraction of living in a dark tube? You're outdoors. Make the walls into big ass windows, let in light, see the outdoors.

    • @TheLampini

😂 you've never done a uk winter aboard then.. i live on a boat with all portholes - my neighbours with big "bus windows" roast in the summer and freeze in the winter - i don't. Big windows = damp. Damp kills narrowboats. Boats with big windows get broken into - mine doesn't. In the summer - im outside 😊 in the winter i don't mind being outside cos its nice and warm inside. They're 6'6" wide max because thats how they built canals, bridges and locks.
You need to come over and hire a boat on the british canals - you'll get it then.. It's all deeply quaint and extremely elegant 😊

It does look a bit as if they left it there in front of the radiator while they tried to find somewhere to put it, couldn't find anywhere, so they just plumbed it in where it stood.

Sloping stipe walls? That's really odd. Mind, whatever floats your boat! 😅

    • @dalejones4184
      @dalejones4184 2 месяца назад

Diagonal T&G is due to the plank length being 2.4 meters long, and if installed horizontally you would have to have a joining strip, diagonal installation takes away the joining strip, but had the same effect as the horizontal view.

@@dalejones4184 Vertical would have worked better in my opinion. Sloping is frankly odd, but I'm sure it could be changed if you wanted too.

I've just finished cladding my beach hut which I did vertically. If I'd seen this before I finished I would have done the top half either side of the seaside double doors with diagonal boards with the top sloping in towards the doors. It would make a nice change from it all being vertical.
