Been following this channel, I believe the best feature with this boat is the crew!
Capt. Paul has an Outstanding Crew. So Professional they can operate Million Dollar charters and still produce RUclips videos at the same time. Amazing the talent he’s gathered around him and LOON.
Pail, the real reason Loon is a cash-positive charter vessel (a rare bird indeed) is you and the amazing crew you have built, not just the ship herself.
or it's a money laundering scheme =)
But that's partially because of their youtube channel, which doesn't follow the boat. You can't assume the same demand once it's sold.

Can’t wait for the new loon and to see what it brings in the years to come
It is very cool to finally see what the rest of the boat looks like. I can't wait to see what the new Loon boat will look like when you take over that one.
On a side note, sometimes it was difficult to hear you with the background music playing. There were times when you went really quiet and the music got louder.
This is most impressive display of a beautiful yacht and an amazing crew. I have seen every video and have appreciated the most professional crew that I have ever seen, that work really well as a team. Hope everyone continues forward.
This was a big surprise. Wondereing what is happening to the crew and it's captain, and if a new Loon will appear??
There is a new loon coming, theyve already confirmed a new one, but not which
@@richardcook1987where did they confirm it
@@ryanmgitto1136 Previous videos and the crew will all move to the new Loon
@@ryanmgitto1136 paul has mentioned it in a few videos, I think its being built at the yards I think in sorrento?
Nothing. They move to the new Loon. Stay tuned…Captain has *promised* that we viewers will get to choose the new boat 🤣😜😝
The music over the talking was a little too loud, made it hard to hear what Captain was saying.
Loon is as excellent as the crew who maintains her and it truly shows with this most fantastic tour. If only I had a couple more commas in the 💰account! I would buy this in a nano-second. ❤ ❤ 🍷
Aww, a very bittersweet video Paul. Loon is just gorgeous from stem to stern, my partner and I have loved watching all your videos from your time onboard her. Understand that time and needs change, and I'm sure we'll love the new Loon when she's unveiled. One of our main highlights is your wonderful crew, and I hope they follow you to new Loon for more glamorous, exciting adventures for us all to share with you 🤗
Paul has said the crew will all move to the new Loon when they have purchased it
Captain Paul has mentioned in videos that Loon upgrades every so often. In fact. this Loon is Loon 2. An earlier, smaller vessel is still sailing around the cruise hotspots. It makes perfect sense to upgrade and update the main working asset of a cruise superyacht business.
I thought this was Loon 3 - one was 150 then 180 then this one
exactly, basically the whole point of their social strategy is to publicize the business to potential buyers. it works!
Aww such a fabulous yacht and you all have done an amazing job, so many memories for you all on this lovely yacht, thankyou for taking us along with you all.
Thanks for the tour, Captain Paul! Loon is beautiful!
This is a surprise to find the Loon for sale. A very impressive walkthrough, Captain Paul. This is one of the Best examples of a for-profit, Charter boat. Super clean engine room. The only indication of running hours can be seen on the exhaust housing. One has to wonder what the asking price is for this wonder of the seas.
I'm not sure of EU rules, but in the States, you pretty much would sell it every 7 years. Since it is a charter boat, you can depreciate it out- equipment depreciates to zero in 7 years, so I would assume a boat does the same thing. If it is your boat and you like it, you can always create a new LLC to buy it and start over...
It's listed on brokerage sites for $47.5m VAT paid with $13m income listed. Seems a good price. Just wonder if the crew are moving with the owner to a new yacht ?
Gotta believe they will have a new one on order.
@@woolyimage yes they are.. They did that when they bought this one.
So is this the end?
had to wear the good trousers for this one 😂
Incredible yacht. Great to see that the owner(s) allowed for such great crew accommodations. Very rare I think. Whatever the future holds for all of you I wish you the best. Ive certainly enjoyed the very professional and entertaining videos you've produced. Thank you.
Sorry to see her go, and I hope the best for all of her crew
I saw this listing a few days ago. Good luck to all. Change is exciting, if scary.
upsizing to a new bigger boat is not scary - it means the business is thriving. good for them
Perhaps some backstory would be useful: Selling Loon and will there be a new Loon? When will the new motoryacht be ready? What is happening with the crew in the meantime? Are you scrambling to find other work?
Thanks for these videos --- which have been superb ---- and looking forward to seeing all of you on the new Loon!
In the meantime I hope all of you get some R&R -- wherever that may be! Cheers !
I agree, that would be helpful. It seems out of left field that this sale was going to happen. I wonder if the owners are feeling the pressure from owning this yacht and the cost of maintaining it. The owners probably wanted to cash out while they can and that is why.
they said it once they are looking to buy a new "Loon"
new loon is already close to being completed - paul has mentioned it in several videos previously. they have upsized and sold previous loons as well! part of the business model
@@claudiobaer9039 A new Loon maybe the Ace 21? Or a second hand one? The Ace is just 10m longer but has the double capacity.
Should’ve had David seal do this video lol he made me fall in love with the yachting world.
You mean the idiot I have to mute just to stomach his stupid videos? I will take Paul in a heartbeat for a tour not marked by stupid...
Me too. I first saw him in an interview with the Yacht Captain and loved his story.
Amazing tour of a beautiful yacht.
It’s very commonly for owners to upgrade or down sizing 😂😂so it should not be a surprise for the audience to see this for sale sign.❤and thank you for sharing.
Love the Loons Journeys ♥️
If we all put in a hundred bucks, and about a million people do it, we all can own a piece of it.
Let's do it! I am in for $100.
Lying in the Western Mediterranean, Loon is asking $47,500,000. VAT is paid.
Ahhh. But without the Looney crew, she’s just another boat 🛶
Why are they selling the loon?
I hope this means all of you are moving to a larger motor yacht. Please let us know.
Lovely, but music too loud at the end when you entered the engine room
A yacht with this amazing crew will be always Cash-Positive. :D Congratulations from Argentina!
Can’t wait to see the new one coming if she is for sale 😅😮
I really hope the next owner let's the Loon series continue!!! Cheers Cap great tour!
Unreal
The loon series will continue with the same crew with a new yacht lol. Paul mentioned it. They all moved from Loon 180 to this one and will do the same for the new one.
Cant wait to see the next Loon, love your work Captain Paul
This was quite … random?
I loved the video captain Paul can’t wait for the next video John 😊
Well, doing the math, it's making about $722k per month. It charters for an average of about $560k per week, so it looks like it's getting a charter about every 3 weeks. Now I would guess it is actually chartering an average of every 2 weeks and the owner is taking it out 2-4 times per year. 20% down, $47m asking, you're looking at about $300k per month to the bank, which leaves $400k to the crew, maintenance, insurance, fees, and a little left for your pocket. So basically, if you have $8m in your pocket, it's a free boat. You could probably buy it with an LLC, then sell it to another LLC you own for $55m, and get your down payment back.
not a bad investment, especially if you're a yacht lover. thow in 1-2 "free" trips for yourself (which you could probably write off as a business expense) and it almost pays for itself 😂
@@nottheone582 There's a couple youtube videos of millionaires who made their millions by doing this. They buy a cheap fishing charter boat, fix it up, charter it, buy another one, then a bigger one, then another bigger one, then start buying yachts. Not a bad life. There was one video of a guy from some eastern European country that came over to Miami 10 years ago with empty pockets and now has a whole fleet of yachts (smaller than this one, but still).
then why would you sell it then? math aint mathing up
@@VanillaIceCoffee because they're a scale-up. every few years they upsize their vessel to keep up with consumer taste and preferences, also ability to run larger charters=higher fees. customers at this level expect the latest tech, etc. which goes out of date every 5 years or so.
@@VanillaIceCoffee It's probably depreciated out. Maybe the owner wants to get out of the yacht business, who knows. Looking on the yacht trading website, they are full of inventory all of the time with yachts being passed back and forth.
Thanks for the great boat tour, didn't realize how much she actually offered. But at $47.5 million I need to hit the lotto first.
Annual operating costs for fuel, crew, taxes, and fees run about 7 million a year.
I am in shock, so what will happen to the crew? Please be sure to update us on them, if they stay or have to move to another boat. Wish I had the money, I would purchase it right away and keep the same crew.
I would give just about anything to spend a week on that boat. What a dream!!! If heaven was a boat *le sigh*
thanks for keeping us company for so many great relax moments here in Bahia Brazil🇧🇷 you guys are the best!!!✨ ❤
I never knew it was possible to run these cash positive. Intriguing.
I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel about this video....
Can't wait to see the New Loon. Hopefully crew will come along onto the new Loon ? This was a quick, but full review thanks CPC
Why do you think there is a new Loon?

Loon was built close to my house in 2010…in Harlingen, Friesland in the Netherlands 😊
Great tour Captain Paul
As stressful this sale must be to the crew, one could not imagine. One would hope that the new owner would not interfere with what has been working well for some time. Best wishes to all members of the crew in your futures. My hope is that we will soon be blessed with new videos from this fine crew of this fine ship.
No doubt most if not all of the crew will be going to the new Loon, the same way they came with Paul from Loon 180.
I sense that Cpt. Paul is not very happy about making this video. Why "for sale"? Anything lined up as Loon replacement?
Did I miss the part about the garage? To me that’s the wildest part of Loon.
Why is the music when the engine room is shown ~16:25 louder than the voice of the captain explaining what we are seeing?
Great tour until the engine room. I couldn't hear Paul because the music was so loud. Good luck on the sale and hope the Captain and entire crew has a new assignment.
Great tour!
Steve, you might want to go in at about 15:57 and tweak the sound. The music is stomping all over Paul’s voice. tlyk
I agree.
That bridge is outstanding. I hope your new ship has something even better than that! This raises standards!
Is the owner upgrading to a larger vessel and taking the _Loon_ crew with him? Or is he retiring from the superyacht life? The tour was very good until you hit the engine room; the voice became muffled and the music became louder.
Sorry Captain Paul the tour of your lovely ship was brilliant but when it came to the Engine room we couldn't really hear you through the music being to loud to understand what you had in there otherwise overall a good sell and look forward to seeing the next one thanks again 👍✌️🙏😊
She's beautiful.
I know this is Loon 2.0, and that anatother boat may be on the way, so are the Loon brand and media assets being sold or simply the vessel?
What's Loon's list price? I'm guessing around $40mil.
Pumping loud music over the top of Captain Paul's commentary at the end was ridiculous.
Oh, you really should have included Nina in this clip, in the crew chef section. She's so amazing and an integral part of Loom and her success.
She might have been too busy liking the posts of the antisemite socialist she follows on Instagram.
It would not be surprising that the crew would be on silent mode during the sale.
For anyone wondering the price is €47,500,000
So hope these videos continue an all the crew an captain Paul will stay with Loon or go on to the new Loon absolutely awesome bunch an love ya all. Perfect team ,wishing you all the best for the future and hope you all have a wonderful time on the new Loon take care . How did Loon get her name ? Xxx ❤
Looking forward to seeing the new Loon
Maybe the Project MISSION from icon nearly 50% more space, because Loon and Loon 2 was from icon. MY BATON ROUGE is an option too, shes shorter but has 10% more space.
PayPal or cash on collection?
thought I had it in my front pocket. 😂
I'll buy it. let me just check my sock drawer...
There is no shot this boat is 14 years old...way too good of condition to be that old! Way to go Loon crew!
Doin refits... The oldest boat like that is around 160 years doin that.
As much the folk that follow Loon's and Nina's channels, And they are awesome, doubt anyone that follows could afford $47,500,000 (although VAT INC)
Great video!!!!!!
Who said a new boat was in the works? This one is for sale, this is a business. Most of these yachts rarely are used by owners for themselves very often as they are more trying to generate money via customers. Until anything happens keep up the great vids! And may the new owner need a great crew like yourselves, good luck!!
I think it’s only right if I build the next generation of loon! I saw she was for sale about a month and a half ago! I didn’t realize she would sell this quickly though! ❤🎉
Why, Why are all the sofas facing away from the master TV?
So many questions! Why are you selling? Are you still going to have your RUclips channel? Is the crew going to stay together? I enjoy this channel so much. I do hope you continue to put out videos and take us along on the adventure!!!
You should make any possible buyer watch all Loons videos to really how well everything is 👍🏻🤩🤔🧐
I don't know about you Paul, but the real magic happens in the state rooms or the hot tub lol
I hope she ends up in the hands of a responsible owner. Good luck Loon.
What about the tender garage ?
Man so sad to leave us on a cliff hanger of a new boat. Meet the crew in person in fort lautaudale really great nice people.
Why is this why is loom being put up for sale? I feel like the owner just bought it.
Aw heck, hope the new owner keeps the crew and captain
What are you going to replace it with? Why the sale?
A bigger Loon.

@@MrDinooooooand you know that how?
@@rayfighter if you watched the channel, you'd now.
@@sonarsphere I do watch it, and I still didn't know
My heart just about stopped when I saw the title of this video. Why is the Loon for sale? Is the owner retiring and getting out of the yachting business, or did he buy another boat? What is going to happen to the crew? I am kind of new to this channel but ever since I found it, I have been binge watching every video regarding this boat and the crew, and I feel I know the boat inside out as well as the crew. I hope there will be a follow up video explaining more. What was up with the louder music once you got into the engine room? I wanted to hear some of the specs but it was not easy.
Sad day for sure❤
This video has sort of a last Friends episode vibe...😢
Get a new Loon soon and keep the crew!!
New ownership doesn't mean new crews
Very glum looking captain. Doesn’t seem too pleased with the news?
Respect 🫡⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️🍸
What does this mean for the future of the channel ? Is there going to be a replacement boat ?
Isnt this already the second yacht? Cant wait to see the 3rd
One day, if things work out, i want to chater this for a week (kosher style baby 😂)
Heartbroken I’ll miss the crew
This would have been more believable if you had David Seal do the walkthrough. But since he's with Northrop and Johnson and you guys use iyc I suppose that was a bit out of the question. Nice try on the clickbait LOL can't wait to see what you guys post from the Bahamas this year.
I have to mute that idiot just to get through his videos.. Paul did ten times better than that fool ever has on his first try...
I’m not buying unless Captain Paul and crew come with it.
I'll take it! Who should I write a check to?
You have to put some folks in the pool & hot tub…Never seen anyone in it except dry
Yay.
Why "It's all over" if that isn't confirmed? Presumably it could still continue as it does now?
I hope you are getting a bigger, better boat…..
So there will be 3 Loons then?
"HEY BABE! wanna buy a boat?"
Is this the first Loon for sale or the loon2
ahhh bummer maybe missed it, is this channel done now? are they buying a bigger yacht? it would be a shame such fun content. cheers
