I use a wet tile cutting saw; there's a filter pad in the water pump. I take it out, clean it, squeeze it, and everything is good to go again. Your blade may still be ok, if that's the case. I liked the first agate that cracked into pieces. Have always wondered what a cross cut agate looks like. It Crack out better than it could have been cut.
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: Laguna and Malawi win for color bands in round #1 . If I were making a display, I'd choose Laguna#2 and Malawi#1.
The first Malawi is a superb piece for that locality. Lagunas are generally considered the best in the world, and both of those did not disappoint. The white things on the outside of the yellow band are cone structures. They look really cool under magnification.
Yep amazing how a blunt or cheap blade can wreck a world class agate done it many times. Spend the money and keep it sharp and you can save fractured agates. Or they survive the cutting. Shapen the blade by cutting soft sandstone, it knocks sandstone grains out and they roll between blade and stone sharpening it. When the blade jitters it needs truing.
I'm seeing your saw blow out the back of loads of the agates you are cutting, damaging perfect specimens. I know because iv done it loads myself. A lot less nowadays tho..
I hope you didn't pay top dollar for those island agates that blew up. I would be too embarrassed to sell those to someone if I had clue they were that fractured. Sure, you could probably salvage some smaller cuts off of them, but that's probably not what you paid for. The Laguna's were great!
