I questioned it also. The writing, foreshadowing, plot twists, etc in AOT are absolutely brilliant, don’t get me wrong. But there are a few moments where it does feel like Isoyama stretched things a bit to make the narrative work. I think this is one of the best examples. Like you said, where would he have learned that this was something that could save him? And how would he have practiced it or known how to execute it?
Bingo. I mean maybe I’m looking pretty deep and picking at things but then I wouldn’t be a fan. Obviously every story is going to have little holes but this seemed so significant and I don’t know why it was a one and done thing that was thrown at us to just forget like it happened
@@NewYorkMikes2 yup! I feel like maybe I’ve been spending too much time lately analyzing every loophole and plot twist of AOT. But I think Isoyama wanted us to feel this way. AOT is the kind of fiction that really makes the reader/viewer question not only ourselves, but the entire world around us.
I’m pretty sure the Annie thing was her ability to “kinda” copy other titans abilities when she eats a part of them so she most likely eat part of the beast so she could call them but couldn’t control them
He is plot armoured titan
