I’m guilty of the sunglasses at times… Those lights are so bright

This was a highlight of this night for me. They crushed it. I hope they play this more often this year. If you are on the floor, especially towards halfway towards the stage, sunglasses are a good thing to bring. I was seated in the 100 level facing directly towards the stage so got some of the best views of Kuroda's magic without needing shades.

Those lights can be bright as fuck. Pre-dialated pupils on many doesn't help either. hahaha.

I'm tall and was in one of those spots in Mexico this year for a set and shit was blinding even with sunglasses on.

I was at the show with my son, and this tune, which we had never heard before, was absolutely smokin’. It’s probably my newest favorite song of theirs. The whole show in fact, had a lot of real high points.

I was there too. I feel the same way. I listen to this all the time.

This tune is gradually becoming one of my favorite new tunes, with great type 2 jam potential. Glad you enjoyed it, too.

This song was released like a year ago on a joint album with just Trey and Page and I thought right away it could be a keeper for the Phish live shows. They debuted it in July at MSG 2023 and I was there for the show. I was going crazy for it and I was one of the only people who knew what song it was.
Now I have no doubt it will be played regularly going forward and it looks like it will be a big jam vehicle too which is even better.

Mike has been playing a Serek bass since last Spring. He just showed of his new Serek bass that has a longer neck and will be trying out at this week's shows in Mexico.
The sunglass thing has been happening more and more. Kuroda's lights are strong, and you can see really well with sunglasses on despite it being dark. They protect you from having to squint when you inevitably get blasted by the moving lights.

And just to let you know some thing, I have heard from somebody fairly intimately familiar with Trey‘s current rig that the cab that he’s got right behind him that is miced actually a fake prop. His real cabs are somewhere in the back. I think it’s also cool, how he now AB’s through either the train wreck or the deluxe Reverb, which has now been moved into a head only. He uses it for more cleaner tones, and the train wreck for the grit.

mikes new bass is a Serek short scale, personally i prefer his old Modulus' sound, bring back the Languedoc basses especially the Fish bass everyone knows it wasn't stolen. oh and the Van Hagar song with a drill is Poundcake. i think the TAF is a play on the PAF(patent applied for) pickups made by Gibson in the late 50's early 60's.
