I must admit my subconscious envy of dear Dagan for his wonderfully contagious enthusiasm, sunny humorous personality and beautiful British accent. Let me not even get started on his born with oodles of musical talent abilities!! PMTVUK probably could not have found a better demonstrator than the Deftly capable Sir Dagan.
For me, Plumes by EQD is the best bang for the buck. New, its $99. It’s not a noisy pedal. I’ve used it with five different amps and it pairs well. It stacks well with flat EQ pedals. With high gain amps, it tames the low end frequencies when I turn down the gain & adjust the tone & level to taste.
The Tubescreamer Mini is awesome. It’s every bit as good as the TS9. Other cheap pedals I like not mentioned in this video include the Boss DS-1 and BD-2, Mooer E-Lady, MXR M234 Analog Chorus and JHS 3 Series Delay and Reverb.
The Fender Pugilist is a wonderful and versatile tone machine. It replaces the tones I used to get from their super-sonic 60w amp I used to own but regrettably sold because it was too load for my purposes.
I can recommend Blackstar LT-boost (blue), I've had it for 5 years now and it's been great. I bought it mainly as a boost for solos to pair with my 6505+ and it does it well. Sometimes when I use digitech drop, I use the boost always on for low tunings. And it makes clean tones sligtly crunched also well. The only con is maybe its resale value because it's not recognized as much. But that doesn't bother me, at least I don't have to be careful about it and can beat it (altough you should be careful because of other things, it's heavy af).
Seriously, a bag of good Canadian weed, a case of your favourite beer and I could sit all day and night and listen to you play and talk about guitar ...or anything for that matter. You rock Dagan!
The delay is probably not analog, but using a pt2399 chip just like most "analog" pedals. In order to get analog delay you need an amount of circuitry that could not fit inside that enclosure. Still sounds good.
Paused the video after seeing a little of the Trapeze Delay, then started searching for it for a few minutes, eventually finding it, coming back here and unpausing the video to hear him say, "...exlusive to PMT, by the way." Tgabks lol
Depends on affordable meaning, but, MXR Timmy (used for under 100), Keely Mini Katana Boost, Nobels ODR Mini OD, anf the Wampler Triumph and Phenom pedals.
Fantastic video. I love Gibson guitars I've bought 4 from pmt Cardiff in the last 5 years. But maybe try budget pedals with a more budget setup. I also own 2 blackstar amps.....pmsl😂😂😂😂
Tbh I bought a range of mooer mini pedals off Ali express for my niece and was blown away how good they are for the price. Thry’re like £20 each…. It’s nuts. When I was learning the cheap option was danelectro food pedals. They were my first so I loved them but they were cheap plastic and still cost more nearly 25 years ago.
Honorable mention: Proco Rat. Such a versatile pedal. OD, distortion, and fuzz in one pedal. Under $80 brand new.
To my ears, man, the Rat is terrible pedal. Along with any distortion/OD Boss makes. They're just awful. But, if it fits your tone, cool.
@ricstormwolf what brands are you into? I'm always down for new pedal ideas
@@ricstormwolf What are some pedals you use, if you don't mind me asking?
@STRATMAN1969 he won't answer lol I'd guess Strymon 😅
@ricstormwolf honestly I love my sd1. I often run that sd1 into a rat. I hope we can still be friends lmao

He's working for his next job
Mark Agnesi doesn't have to be full time in the UK Gibson garage

Love my Plumes for pushing high gain! 🤘
Boss SD-1 probably the greatest pedal ever made
You mean big muff
Everyone loves your personality, Dagan... But you are one hell of a guitarist, my brother... Happy New Year from the USofA! 🤘

I have the Tube Screamer, Super Overdrive, and Phase 90 all on my board.
I'm going with the Boss IR-2. What a great sounding foundation for your tone.
For me, if you're going to go with a dirt pedal from the Hammertone lineup it should be the fuzz.
That 50s Les Paul Standard is BEAUTIFUL! I own one and love it. The Burstbucker pickups are my favorite humbuckers of all time.

Behringer fuzz is awesome for the money.
On bass too 🤘🏻

Wonderland. It's a cheap and excellent shimmer/reverb.

Mooer and Joyo has a lot of great pedals.
Depends on affordable meaning, but, MXR Timmy (used for under 100), Keely Mini Katana Boost, Nobels ODR Mini OD, anf the Wampler Triumph and Phenom pedals.
Boss OD-3 is another killer drive for not much money
See you finally got the syn custom a back there, would love to see a comparison video of the standard to custom s!
Best budget pedals: Nux Horseman, Donner Fuzz, Behringer vibrato and super chorus
love love love the mooer tender octaver

The Soul Food is great Klon copy. Will stand by that till the day I die
A self-proclaimed Klon-aholic, I love the affordable NuX Horseman. Has two modes (silver and gold) and sounds absolutely amazing.
What's your opinion on the Metal Muff??
Would you do a video on modeling/effect pedals?
Dagan you're really awesome.
What is the riff he plays at 14:40? Thanks
It’s from chamfert 🤙

Which do you recommend?
I heard some Crashdiet Generation Wild!!!
Great video 🎉🎉
What's the best cheap loop pedal out there?
Behringer TO800. Same topography as the original tubescreamer and costs £25.
Isn't the Trapeze delay a Donner Yelliw Fall? Same color, size, knob layout and laybeling.
The Donner Yellow Fall is one of my favorite delay pedals regardless of price.
Then i thought this was a review from decades ago!
At the moment, the EHX Soul Food
Earthquaker pedals the Plumes
Dagan did you send a tape to smashing pumpkins yet
No brainer choices. A Les Paul & Boss pedals. End of discussion. The “competition” has to suck it up.
I love Dagan. My wallet cares little for him though.

This fender dostortion sounds shitty to me
Go wirh Boss. Because why change what sucks? 🤔🙄
Side note: Shave the face hair and you could put Gene Simmons makeup on and be quite convincing.
Sorry for the totally unrelated random thought.
