What made the first Beetlejuice so great was that it was the first Tim Burton movie… I know Pee-wee big adventure was Tim’s first major film… but Beetlejuice showed us Tim’s dark comic fantasy side.. You see shades of Edward Scissorhands and nightmare before Christmas all over this film.. Good job on the review. Keep up the good work.

and the cartoon was basically adventures in the Neitherworld, which this one seems to be. Hopefully they do the Hawaiian (or island) script as a third one one if this blows up.
I barely remember the cartoon, but I remember watching it a lot on tv and liking it as a kid! Yeah I do personally feel it calls for a third one to make it a trilogy

I do think the first one just set up the great premise but....yeah there should have been a ton of sequels moving forward from that point.
That’s actually very true! It did feel like an origin-type movie and I’m surprised a sequel took this long
