I have Parkinson’s and had a lot of difficulty turning in bed and just getting positioned while getting into bed. I bought some slippery satin pajamas and it helped dramatically, because I can slide on the sheets much more easily. I haven’t tried the combination of satin pajamas and a satin sheets. It may help more but it may be too slippery so I worry about falling while getting into and out of bed. Perhaps a bed rail would make it safer.

It's not easy to exercise, it's not easy just to get motivated to exercise although we know it's extremely beneficial. Be kind to mum :)

I see that this video is four years old now, but if possible would the gentleman in this video be willing to comment on his lower leg pain? My husband’s tibia bone area get inflamed (red & hot to the touch) and extremely painful - I noticed that this gentleman’s lower leg area look red and inflamed as well.

My shoulders lower back and seems like any part that I have broken hurts like hell from time to time, but not always. Still don't sleep more than 3hours at a time, meanwhile 2 girls friends later the VA still isn't on my side

My back doesn't like lying straight in bed either. I also found that when my Parkinson's medication kicks in my shoulders don't hurt as much and I take less pain relief for them

Hi Cynthia, so sorry to hear that. You may find our info on exercise helpful www.parkinsons.org.uk/information-and-support/exercise - yoga might also help with stiffness and we would recommend you seeing a physiotherapist and seeing what suggestions they have which might help

I go to a Myothearapist weekly. It has helped me with stiffness & pain immensely. It hurt a lot at the start because he was unlocking the muscles. It has definitely helped

I have CKD along with PD and, can't take NSAIDS. IF, on occasion, I am prescribed 325-5 NORCO, I usually sleep well but for only maybe 4 hrs. Tylenol just doesn't work well and since I have CKD, I am afraid too much Tylenol will harm my liver! (I never abuse NORCO but, medical people do not trust me). I also have RA.

Would exercise like walking or running help with stiffness in jaw and lips? Or does exercise only help the places that are getting exercised?

the pain has been there so long and gets progressively worse, ignored by doctors so eventually you don't complain about the pain even when it is beyond excusable and obviously debilitating.

I lift weights every single day, since I was in My teens. Ice hockey and now mountain biking. Exercise is key. I also walk 23-26,000 steps 5 days a week. Check out some of the exercises I do on my channel. Exercise ❤️
