    Something that isnt talked about enough, is that Flamingo has some of the best views. The strip view rooms will allow you to see the Mirage Volcano show, basically the entire Caesar's property, and even the Bellagio fountain. Ask for the 28th floor near the sign. The giant pink sign will light up your view if you're into that sort of thing.....hands down my favorite spot in Vegas.

    • @harveylin3548
      @harveylin3548 3 месяца назад

      It's also the easist one to walk outside to the strip, no fluffs, not walking 15 minutes inside to go outside. Once you are downstairs, you are right at the middle of the strip, no waiting at all.

      @@ThatCasualZach I went to Vegas back to back years for a company paid conference. First time of course I went all out, got me the most expensive room I can get at Creasers, great room, except the Casino was huge and it takes 15 minutes to go anywhere. Next year I switched to Flamingo across the street, best decision ever. Rooms isn't terrible and it is really convenient to walk outside and go to CVS.

    • @ThatCasualZach
      @ThatCasualZach 2 месяца назад

      @@harveylin3548 alot of people never learn that advice lol. They think they need the best room but really you need the best access to get outside for food and people watching. Now you're making me want to book the flight haha

    Just stayed at flamingo in May. Had a great time! I personally like the smaller properties. I had an amazing time at the pool and rented a daybed! Not having to walk a mile from my room to the pool is a plus to me. Also having the access right from the hotel to the linq promenade for more close eats, and things to do, major plus. Highly recommend staying here! Center strip and easy access to the monarail 💕😎

I love the Flamingo and hope it stays and doesn't get slated for demolition and go the way of the other originals.

    My wife and I stayed at the Flamingo for two nights in May, then moved to the Encore for two. We had a huge suite for $130 and enjoyed the fun scene at the pool for a day. But the hotel is poorly maintained - we saw garbage in common areas again and again - the casino is dingy and poorly ventilated and the flamingos were not even on display! It’s a three star property in a good location, but no comparison to the true five star Encore up the road or four star Caesar’s across the street. Our room at the Encore was luxurious, the pool and casino were classy, the spa amazing and service was great. Yes it was more expansive, but totally worth it.

    We stayed there in May. We got married there many years ago so Flamingo has sentimental value. Advice -make sure you get to the pool early. Not many lounge chairs available. They want you to pay for a daybed which if you plan on being at the pool all day, or want that option, it's worth the price. Dedicated server, great service, in/out options. They said it was a 4 person limit but our family came in, gave our name at the desk, and were given wristbands so we had 6 people using our bed.

    Thank you for your positive video on the Flamingo. I’m planning on going to Las Vegas in the future (hopefully before the Mirage closes down), and since I want an inexpensive hotel, the Flamingo seems perfect. I plan to explore the strip itself on foot, so a resort in the middle of Las Vegas is perfect for me. Before people complain to me on how far the Strip is on foot, I frequently walk around New York City on foot, for hours, and I enjoy it, so a beautiful strip with lots of beautiful buildings should be no problem (and yes, I will make sure to take plenty of water).

    I stayed at the flamingo 9 floor strip view not a bad place my biggest grip is how bad gambling is in ceasars properties vs mgm or anywhere actually. I played video black jack and the computer got black jack 4 times in a row at bugsys bar. Next the slot other than about a 1 hour window in the afternoon no one does well at the slots. Mgm properties I went to were by far way better in regards to gambling and your money lasting longer in a machine it wasn't even close honestly. Over all I found from my visits to vegas mgm properties are by far cleaner the staff way less crabby. The flamingo is nice cheaper place to stay location is awesome but if you gamble go to other places not apart of ceasars if you want more bang for your buck. That's just my opinion

    Yeah, I definitely agree with your thoughts on Flamingo overall. It has plentiful shortcomings like those you alluded to, but its legacy, personality and character very much makes up for them.
    And I feel similarly about Flamingo's pool as I do the Voodoo Pool at Rio: where the resort itself is terribly dated and in dire need of some new life, but the pool epitomizes the carefree, fun-loving party vibe of Vegas and can single-handedly elevate your experience even if the resort overall falls short of others on and off the Las Vegas Strip.
    Great content as always James, thanks sooooooooo much! =)

    You didn't make the pilgrimage to the memorial to Bugsy Siegel?
    It's in the back next to the wedding chapel.

    I first stayed at the Flamingo when I was still working and attended a conference there. My sons didn’t approve and thought I should only stay at 5-star properties, but like my colleagues, I found it quite OK. Staff was friendly, and they always upgraded me. The cost for conference attendees was $49 per night, no resort fees, free parking, and a free buffet breakfast every day. Needless to say, this was a few years ago!

    I shared an epic plate of nachos with friends at that Margaritaville about 10 years ago. I stopped back in a few weeks ago for a quick bite and settled on a club sandwich since the nachos would have been way to gluttonous. Let’s just say that sandwich did not belong in the “club”. They need to consult the late great Mitch Hedburg on how to do it proper. But maybe the nachos are still good 😂
