My uncle Tony Phan, would take me here when I was younger, he taught me how to fish. He passed away a couple weeks ago. This place brings me back great memories. Thank you for that and for your service. Greatly appreciated.
I greatly appreciate you showing us your pictures with us. That means a lot to me, to say the least. Thank you for your service as always and keep on doing what your doing! Always love the content. Tight lines
Goes for a flounder catches a limit of reds. Good turn of events! Another live bait video , that mullet is really turning it on for you. good video Mark.
Dude! We have a lot in common! I now live near Galveston and fish the area. Also I too crewed Helos! H-60 for 20 years! Worked alot with USMC shitters!
Thank you for your service, It makes sense now you weren"t freaking out as much as I would if i seen that in person because that"s everyday life for you! No flounder but no one has ever complained over catching redfish.
Looks like a nice rod. Love the raw blanks. Looks like an NFC blank from the sanding/shine. Old 18 makes some great stuff. Braid scissors work, but I got the danco lunar nippers. Come on a lanyard. Love em.
Enjoyed the video. Love, catch and release videos. Keep a couple for dinner when needed. I probably release 99% of the fish i catch. Respect the laws and resources and it makes for a better life. THANK YOU, FOR YOUR SERVICE AND YOUR RESPECT FOR OUR RESOURCES. Be safe and keep up the good work. This country needs more people like you. God bless you and your family. ❤
Dang Mark, you’ve done it all. Love your videos. As a 70 year old woman who lived and breathed fishing, I’m now living vicariously thru you. I look forward to your next video!!
Would like to do some saltwater fishing but being 4 hours north it's kind of hard to get down that way. Great video and thank you for your service! Being 70 I don't venture out by myself much! Love to wade fish though!
Back in the day our family would fish the bea c h side of the Jetty with just dead shrimp during high tide. We would catch Golden Croakers, speckle and Sand trout , Reds and Flounders too.
Another great video Marc. A lot of times your target spices don't cooperate, but 3 slot reds ain't too shabby huh! Tight lines to you my friend and fellow veteran!!! Semper Fi.
Glad your videos got suggested to me again! You’ve inspired me to start filming my fishing trips and uploading! I remember when you first started I asked why you didn’t guide trips instead. Turns out looks like you made the right choice!
Great video, Mark! Thank you so much for your service to our nation! Just a side note, I've seen a side holster that can be worn to holster your rod while wading or even shore fishing, so you can free up your hands and have more freedom of movement, just an idea. Take care and be safe!
Great video! I'm a longtime West coast angler, but can use some of your techniques for striper fishing. Thanks for the vid and thank you too for your service! Semper Fi... Oorah! 🇺🇸 💪🏽
Yo mark great video man always a pleasure watching your content. Those live mullet are a must this time of year for sure. (its Jose ) I was fishing at the jetty that day pleasure meeting you brother.
I bring along a five gallon bucket for my active flo-trolls to transport live bait. I dunk the flo-troll inside the 5 gallon bucket to oxygenate the bait.
Outstanding job catching your limit on slot reds - I was always curious about that spot where you were fishing- great location- I was with MALS -24 oorah!! Tight lines- PuraSal Angler 🙌🏻 (not sure why my comments are crossed out? Are you seeing this?)
Your welcome and you. As well you retired - it was a nice duty station - my second week after having arrived I got deployed to Oki - four months later my whole unit got deployed to Kuwait - I was stuck in Oki for 10 months - never made it to Kuwait - now that I’m fishing here I always ask my self - why I didn’t fish in HI. 😂
Can you do a video on how you throw a cast net? I used to be able to throw one somewhat but that was a long time ago. Last time I tried it was a total fail.
Hi do you mind sharing the location of that boat ramp where you cast net for mullet? I just bought cast net but don’t know where to go to catch baits thanks

When fishing gets tough you have to use the undeniable real thing. 👍
We always set our bait bucket inside a 5 gal bucket full of water for transport. Mud minnows work too. Nice rod

Why have I never thought to do this. Thanks so much for sharing a great tip! It’s what I’m going to do from now on 🙌.
Awesome video bro
Appreciate it.
i was out at the ferry and seawolf by boat today. we caught alot of tator flounders today, it was better then nothing though wished there was a keeper
It’s been a tough fall bite for me too. I’m lucky that these reds were hungry.
I wish I could’ve seen you out in Galveston. Was there this past week from Sneads Ferry, NC.
Dang that’s a long way. I was stationed at New River.
Great man if you’re ever back in this area. I’d love to fish with you!! I’m at CH Bay!!
Those rapala mini lip grippers have some milage on them. I cant think of a video I havent seen them in. Texas videos at least.
😂 they’ve seen a lot of work that didn’t involve fish.
Thank you for your service to our country. What water temperature do you start wearing waders.
I don’t really have any particular temperature that I decide to wear them. I didn’t want my feet to get water logged for several hours.
Cool video man! Makes me want to get out there and fish but the last time I went I got stuck in the sand😂
Carpooling 🛻 we got y’all.
YOU ROOOOOCK MARK!!! 🎣
Thank you 👍
Mark you looked like GG Angler in your throwback photos when you was a kid. 😂
😂
Excelente
Chum with oatmeal and water or instant mash potatoes and water. For bait
