    As I read through these comments, I can clearly see that Sifu Austin is very mature in his spirit. So many critics and “experts” bucking up and trying to tear down Sifu Austins sil lim Tao, (in a simplified form)…..Sifu Austin KNOWS that it is simplified!!! He simplified it on purpose to try and help people who want to learn. The mark of a true master is humbleness, calmness, compassion…..as the critics and haters display their immaturity…..you will notice that Sifu Austin only responds with kindness and a humble attitude and spirit. Thank You Sifu Austin.

    I see, this is not "the official" Sil Lim Tau, this is more expanded version with a salute and specifically added punches, strikes, and jabs. Very courteous of whoever wrote this version of the choreography, the author had a great idea in mind. I might try this someday with my instructor!

      How long are you standing in the goat stance?

    • @spawn314159
      @spawn314159 6 лет назад

      there should be no stress in knees or anckles, if there is, you're doing it wrong. u need to stretch sacrum very slowly over some years to get it to open fully... personly i do not like sifu austin goh's stance, need to stretch psoas muscles and open sacrum, the lower spine structure should be 'staight up and down';; this means, the body should be inline with thighs, and knees above toes, and anckles NOT twisted. both legs represent the rear leg of chum kiu structures,.. the inner thighs should slightly pull in, like horse stance. it takes a long time to stretch the sacrum, alot of 'standing practice' and other yoga. after about 4 years, you should be able to stand like this without hurt for 40 mins+ with no pain in any joints! after this, move to doing practice on one foot, then again, other foot... train the weaker side more and first... always keep knee in line and natural orientation, its the hip/sacrum that opens/rotates to facilitate this.

      Question: I find my stance frees and feels more "weightless" when I am balanced in the middle of my feet, but "pushing" slightly outward on the outside of the feet [more intent-wise than by muscle]. So, weight not center on the arches, but on the outside ridge of the foot [though foot is still planted, not tilting]. My spine begins to feel more like a pole and less effort to pivot center.Is this incorrect and should I fix it? Thank you.

      the high level of gongfu is not in the looks anyway. Its ur skill of application and how good u can keep ur structure and relaxation during fight. The detail of move dosnt event matter if u know the principle.

      Different is a more accurate description. Since this form had come to the west I have seen variations from the form performed by Yip Man, You Chun, and Yip Chin.
      Wing Chun is an evolving martial art. You can only be a traditionalist if you live in Fosham before and during WW II.
      I enjoyed the demonstration. I began my studies of this form in 1981, and still practice Sil Lim Tao daily multiple times. I also apply it to my Mook Yan Chong to build power and stay aligned with my center.
      My regards SiFu.

      I been teaching wing Chun since 1973 World wide. My Teacher Lee Shing is the private student of Yip Man
      I had been authorised by Yip Man and my teacher to spread Wing Chun to the world.
      Please let me know are you a Wing Chun master and who is your teacher?

      @@austingohofficial how long, and who your sifu was doesn't mean a single thing. I know who u are. It is still not ancient Chinese Martial arts or especially wing Chun. U can not handle the body that way and expect progress. You will only get sick and injury. And this training has shown again and again to be inaccurate as shown in many different video. You must have snake engine, your breathing has to be natural not forced, and the momentum has to be short Strike or you end up practice for 1000 years and wish some day you become magic.

      @@austingohofficial not every one Bruce Lee taught is Bruce Lee. This is mistake and Hollywood fantasy. It is not what the ancient practice and not Wing Chun.
