Haha, as a Baby valerian did the opposite to me. I wasn’t sleepy but awake and my mom went literally crazy. 😅 maybe I‘ll try it nowadays if it’s still like that. I avoided all the sleeping teas with valerian in since now. 🖤

Thyme is such a nice herb, one of my faves. Never thought of it as an herb for sleep. Rosemary is my all time fave and so powerful, but it is more a pick me up and wakes me up. So I would burn it as incense or in other ways but not drink a tea. But that’s depending on your experiences, everybody is different. 🖤🍀
I use chamomile a lot for sleep tea's; sometimes just Chamomile and sometimes blended with lavender. I have made a few spell bags for myself and my kids for sleep with Lavender and eucalyptus. I also have used eucalyptus, rosemary and lavender essential oils for bedtime baths.
I use to drink lavender tea but like you’d said, the taste was not great. Then I try chamomile tea but it wasn’t that helpful, really calming sure, but didn’t got me to sleep. I recently discovered linden tea and that was a game changer!! Love the taste and helps me fall asleep.

So far the ONLY herb and supplement that has helped smack me down on the pillow is... The unmentionable herb lol ive tried everything. Melatonin, lavender, chamomile tea, 5-HTP, GABA, you name it. Sleep is the one thing I don't get a lot of and without it I get PoTS symptoms. Unfortunately for me, my pharmaceutical grade oil of the "unmentionable" works but is SO expensive. I genuinely would love to pursue an ADHD diagnosis but who has a few thousand in fees because they don't think adults need diagnosis, it's "only so kids can sit still in school"? Sigh.
Valerian , passion flower, and chamomile are my triple threat against insomnia 🔮
