This is a dumb analogy, I think that most people who own a book library read most of them if not all of them. You don’t get packages of books for -75% neither u get the opportunity to buy a new book you want for 10/20% of its value.
Also you don’t usually read 2 books or more at the same time.. I mean comparing the usage of books and video games is quite dumb, and comparing a steam library to a regular library is even dumber.

Steam is one of greatest things ever created in gaming. It's basically a google collection of games. it's quite simple but genius. Luckily I dont have a great PC otherwise i'd blow so much money on games.
Unlucky i don't have $10,000. Otherwise I would spend another 500 more.
Nothing special about Steam, it's just the one marketplace that gained the most traction early on thanks in large part to Counter-strike.
Without CS there probably wouldn't be Steam. And CS was a mod that Valve didn't even create, they just "bought out" the rights to it. In other words Valve lucked into Steam, it wasn't some stroke of genius like some Valve/Gabe fanboys like to believe (find it hilarious there's even such a thing as Gabe fanboys lol).
As an aside, why do American nerds always need to create these cults of personality. Same thing is happening with Elon Musk (omg he's like a real life Tony Stark).
