- For as long as there have been broadcasts, there have been people trying, against all odds, to steal the spotlight during them. And today, because anyone with a webcam, computer or gaming console is capable of streaming themselves to potentially hundreds and thousands of people at a time - everyone can be the star of their own show.
But with the glory, riches and adulation increased fame can bring, so too comes the risk of drawing unwanted attention. The threat of becoming a target, exposed in the cross-hairs of a stream sniper.

Me: If you kill a Fortnite player named NINJA.
Anyone that outplays Ninja is labeled a "Stream Sniper" because he can't deal with the fact that he got outplayed. If Ninja is full health, shield, see's supposed "Stream Sniper" and loses a 1v1 why does it matter he loses? He got outplayed....period.

No, stream sniping happens a lot these days. I was playing Super Mario Bros., and I’ve seen Goombas start coming after me knowing exactly where I am despite being behind a green pipe. Sometimes they’ll come out of nowhere and charge right at my direction even though I was offscreen to them. Either they’re stream sniping, or using wall hacks. There’s no other explanation...

The issue is when streamers flip out about "stream sniping" whenever they are beaten by players that are just better than they are. A lot of streamers I see playing aren't as good as they think they are. Some are, but not a lot.

Depends. A good player will simply realize that there is a player who is better than them who keeps queuing up with them. A "crybaby" will report you and have their entire chat report you for foul play because they believe simply because they get millions of views that they are the best player and they can't let someone prove that they're not.

I think that'd be one of the best ideas, honestly, and the easiest.
It wouldn't get rid of snipers completely, but it would definitely deplete a lot more chances of them pairing up with the streamers.

Stream sniping? Really with ninja in the thumbnail okay can you not act like he doesn't just report ppl for stream sniping all the time. Seen more then enough clips of him just flat out getting beat then reporting them for stream sniping. The one someone broke through the wall before he could finish building it just too slow on his part and he reported them. Then another where he actually shot the other players first and then got outgunned and reported for stream snipe. Or the time he got killed and the guy looted him then danced on him to mock him and he was so pissed for 'unsportsman conduct' but after waiting a few seconds reported him for stream sniping. What a nunce.

While you could argue it could be cheating for people like KingRichardsLoot that brings a streamer loot therefore giving them an unfair advantage, however King Richard clearly finds the sniper funny and has never had a bad experience because of him. I can't believe there was not a single word about Forsen and his situation.
As a streamer i can tell you that you've to accept being sniped ! It's part of the game and i always take it positivily when somebody tries to snipe me ! Never forget it's just a game AND we're supposed to have fun.
The difference between you and people like ninja is that I dont know who the fuck you even are. Also as shown in the video the one kid admitted to stream sniping Ninja like 8 times. The people who need to use external information to play a game not based around that being a normal part of game experience shouldn't be playing that game. At the very least not in the lobby that provides them said information, hence why game companies ban them. Imagine people playing a game you made, but one of the people who brings you the most players or increases your games social standing stops playing because your company took no actions against stream sniping causing a decline in how popular your game is. And now understand why people are banned for it from the game in question.

Stream sniping is an issue that Streamers have to deal with themselves
They have a number of options available to them
1. Find the spy and ban them from the Stream
2. Set a longer delay
3. Private their stream
4. Get good enough to handle people with more info than you
5. Realize these things happen and just have fun
6. Change Genres
A game company has no business enforcing something that has no evidence
It's actually one of the reasons I never really got into fortnight due to the fact that something like that was even a possibility really put me off

You put your goods out for the world to buy cause its your job, and just because theyre out there and not hidden somewhere, doesnt mean that people can steal things from your shop. Most people who claim stream sniping are just butt hurt they died in an unexpected way. With delays and player pools as in the case of br's the chances of you being able to effectively stream snipe are pretty low. There are a few games that make it easier to do it but most br's you can't and that seems to be the major arena that people claim stream sniping. Not saying it doesn't happen it clearly does, but it's not as rampant as people believe.
Stream sniping is when you have a famous you tuber who cant handle loosing to other players because it proves they are not the best player and dont deserve the money they make.

But Honestly, in some games Stream Sniping is just really apparent. in R6 for example it is really easy to tell when someone is Stream Sniping. However for most creators they don't want to put a delay because it would ruin the connectivity to the viewers, which the streamer needs for their career.
