What does "fine knitting" physically mean on the Brother, i. e. what does it do to the stitch? I have a Silver Reed which is totally different when it comes to lace knitting. There is a lace carriage but it feeds the yarn, too. You differentiate between standard lace where all is done on one pass and fashion lace where you have to take out the yarn and make empty passes over the needle bed. However, it seems that the Brother is able to do more. Your samples are really stunning!

Holy shit - none of the other videos I've watched said the knit carriage shouldn't be engaging/connecting to the timing belt. That's why my lace kept falling 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I'm not sure I understand the comment. I don't know much about this model. I believe that may be a bulky gauge and mine is standard. I don't know anything about bulky gauge machines and I don't have one.
