Rocky - piano medley: This piano medley of Rocky contains one of the most well known Rocky piano pieces that are played throughout the Rocky movies from Rocky 1 till Rocky 3. Pieces as First Date, Vigil, Mickey and All of My Life with the Gonna Fly Theme (in adagio). All themes composed by the great Bill Conti.
This piano medley was arranged for the amazing event "An Experience With". During this event epic hollywood stars are interviewed an the whole evening is dedicated to the super star. In this case it was Sylvester Stallone! Next to this event there is an auction were you can get very rare stuff signed by the legend himself. And just before the show starts there is a spectacular tribute with firework and music. I was lucky enough to open the show with the emotional themes that characterize the tough life of Rocky. Bill Conti did such a marvelous job writing these sad loneliness themes. In my opinion one of the best themes in film music history.
Also I was lucky enough to shake the hand of Sly and get on a picture with him. Next to that I was lucky enough to meet another legend on the event Raymond van Barneveld. So the evening in Birmingham was a dream coming true!
Anyway I hope you enjoy this piano medley of Rocky.

Bill Conti found the soul of Rocky. This piece is heroic but incredibly tragic at the same time. Yearning. Searching. Going up that hill but not quite making it. I find this piece so moving

Peaceful yet calming & sad at the same time. It's such an understanding story because we all get it & have been in Rocky's shoes. Sylvester Stallone is iconic. We may never see a pure man capable of his talent. So Sly, thank you for everything. I can't wait for the documentary
I love it! Bill conti's first work for rocky. Stallone loved it, too. And stallone said, he needs for the training also a fast one. Bill played it faster with a few changes... gonna fly now is born!

Wow this actually made me tear up 😭 one of my friends from high school got killed she was a police officer and the asshole ran her over so that he basically didn't get arrested and killed her and basically, listening to this reminded me of her. Thank you for this this was awesome.
