I know so many other millennial women who, despite the stats, entered our 30s with a husband and kids and a home. I’m a very proud homemaker and mother of 3. I got a B.s. from a top 10 school and had a promising “career” ahead of me had I not woken up and met my husband at 22 and realized that what I truly wanted was NOT something to repress or be ashamed of. I had to shake off the sunk cost fallacy that just because I had a degree didn’t mean I had to pursue a life I didn’t want. I wish other women would realize that their natural urge to fall in love and nurture a family was not wrong or regressive - it’s primal 🥰

Completely agree! I'm another young woman who isn't afraid to say that having a family and making my husband happy _makes me happier_ than a career would. AND I believe it's a far more important mission than any career I can think of. The world needs to be repopulated by free-thinking, healthy, securely attached people from women like us!

But that's the exact problem there, girl bosses suddenly realizing it's not all it's cracked up to be only to run crying back to society and looking for sympathy after deliberately ignoring and downsizing men's roles in women's lives.
The better question is, why wouldn't people immediately laugh at them; otherwise, where is the accountability for their actions? Do we just accept that they've 'changed' all of a sudden after a single breakdown video at the realization they'll likely fulfill the future role of the dreaded cat lady in their eyes?
It seems to me to be more of a cliffhanger situation where they nearly fell off the deep end into the girl boss realm but are desperately holding by a few fingers onto the cliff's edge where on it lies the hope they could have a nuclear family except there is one big problem with this too.
It sounds like they're unwilling to enter into the traditional housewife role so I believe it presents less incentive to the men they're interested in since the former girl bosses likely only have their jobs as their main appeal for dating, which these guys don't care about since these men already make enough money on their own and have qualities of their own that makes them attractive, outside of their workplace. It, ironically, is part of what makes the woman interested in the man too, stability.

The seeds decline faster than the field, but the field also declines. The real solution is to focus on family in your youth, then when children are closer to adulthood, start up a woman's career, but the current way of things is to act like a man and sow your wild oats and think that your career is a selling point to your future partner. You can have most things, just not all at once or in the wrong order.

Mix that in with social media, school academia indoctrination, and other anti men movements over the past 50 years. Many societal issues start with the absence of strong men and strong fathers. In the first sentence, "W" in "women" should be capitalized (as with any first letter of the first word beginning a new sentence).
There should be a period at the end of a sentence ending in the word "truth," with the word "They" beginning a newly-formed, subsequent sentence.
There might best be a comma preceeding the word "but" (e.g., "... the lie, but...")
It can be easy to avoid a run-on sentence (as exemplified by the run-on sentence beginning with the word "Not"). In this case, one may simply replace the preceding period with a semicolon (and then change the "N" to a lower-case "n" to begin the word "not." Or, add a coordinating conjuction (for example, "but," or "and"). However, in this instance, one might make the case that to employ a semicolon would arguably make for the most coherent sentence.
      Cheers!

Having witnessed the changes from 1950's trad wife culture to today's woke culture, I have to say that there's no going back. The events that caused these societal changes cannot be undone. The advent of Feminism, the civil rights movement, birth control, and the economic changes due to a global economy have put us in a position where it is now a luxury for women to stay home and raise children. (Please note that I'm not making a value judgement about this: they are what they are) In far too many cases the wife has to work in order to economically sustain their family; unless a husband is making that 6-figure salary he'll barely be able to support their family if they make the stay-at-home-mom choice.
I keep thinking that there must be some middle ground between the "Trad Wife" and "Boss Woman" that allows everyone at least an equitable chance at a fulfilling life. As it stands now, women seem to be more often than not, miserable even when nominally 'getting what they want" and men only seem to approach happiness when they avoid women and the problems associated with them.

You are wrong but only because you need to add something to your first sentence. "... there's no going back right now.". We won't see the turn around, it will be a generational change, a story of cautionary tale. The effects of the current mistakes need to materialise fully, for them to be curbed afterwards. There is no such thing as real-time change. It's slow and over time. Population will decline as per the forecasts, then the world will become better gain, before another boom. This is a 100 year prognosis.

One possible solution is to go back to extended families living together, where several of them can work, and bring in income, and you can have multiple family members to help watch the kids, clean the house, etc.
In order to make this work, we will have to work MUCH HARDER than we currently do, on interpersonal skills like communication, and conflict resolution.

@@cellshaded There is no going back and it will never be better. That's what Žižek and Yuri Bezmenov foresaw perfectly. Research shows that by 2030, at least 50% of the population will be alone and childless, according to Pew Research. This means a drop in birth rates. We live in most Western states in a system where the entire tax system relies on labor, consumption, and a growing population. The entire pension system depends on it, which means infrastructure, healthcare, and benefits will crumble to zero. Artificial intelligence will eventually make human labor worthless, which means we face either widespread poverty or a classless society, translating to a Darwinian dead end. All of the former Soviet states are demographic dead ends even faster than other states. Ukraine, Eastern Germany (German Democratic Republic), Romania, and Bulgaria were/are already economically and demographically dead; they have lost millions of natives.

The mistake a lot of men make is they think the trad wife of the 50s was always the norm throughout history.
      It absolutely was not.
The 1950s were an anomaly in human history.
America was the sole global superpower standing after the horrific WW2 had devastated every economy, except it's own.
One man's income could support an entire family, which allowed his wife to stay home and raise the children.
But if you look at history, men and women were always working outside the home for most of history to support their families.
Women were merely working in smaller roles but they were working.
Even in the 1950s, the "trad wife" that stayed home and tended to the kids only did so for around a 10-15 yr period.
Once the kids were grown up, most went back into the workforce or tried to get back in.
Other women, who weren't middle class or upper middle class, were working women even in the 1950s.
Those middle class women who stayed home had maids.
Those maids came from poorer white families or black families seeking employment.

@@savioblancI want to add too that before the 1950s "trad wife", women work but in the homes, making their own economic value. Textiles, crafts, food, etc. Those all disappeared with the industrial revolution, so the only choice for the women are to work for factories outside of home. 1950s "trad wife" was indeed the minority of the global population for a very short time. "Real" trad wifes are the ones going out putting all the cabbages onto the carts and dragging them to the market.

The problem is that women have been sold the Idea that having a career and a good job is a way to a great life. And nothing can be further from the truth, the way to a good life is a good mental attitude and being happy with what you have. I am 60 years old now, worked all my life building a career trying to get rich. I probably will live another 20 years and for the last 10 to 15 years nobody has cared what kind of job I have had and for the next 20 years absolutely nobody is going to care what I did for a living. So that's 45 years of working and 20 years of retirement and There will be no At-a-boy, no reward, no accolades of any kind and I never had a family. I worked hard and I put it off and put it off and now it is to late. So I will go the distance by myself with no family and it turns out that family is the only thing that really matters not your job.

Feminism benefits the economy, but potentially at the expense of women. Some argue it's a smokescreen encouraging women to prioritize career advancement over marriage and motherhood. A 2019 Morgan Stanley study called The Rise of the SHEconomy found that women contribute about $7 trillion annually to the U.S. GDP and are the main shoppers in 72% of households. They also earn bachelor’s degrees at higher rates than men and represent nearly 30% of primary breadwinners in married households. Retail Analyst Lauren Cassel notes that women's growing financial influence has changed spending habits, particularly as SINGLE WOMEN TEND TO OUTSPEND THE AVERAGE HOUSEHOLD.
Also, some corporations provide female employees financial support for freezing their eggs, allowing them to preserve their reproductive options at their own risk while contributing to the bottom line and company growth.

While South Korean women are the most highly educated of those in OECD countries, the country has the worst gender pay gap. There is also an implicit pressure from companies that if women have children, they have to leave their jobs. Despite both men and women in South Korea are entitled to one year's leave during the first eight years of a child's life, in 2022, only 7% of new fathers took any of their leave, compared to 70% of new mothers. Many South Korean wives complain that their husbands don't share the housework or raise the children with them, despite both of them are working.
According to the OECD, Japan has the highest proportion of childless 50-year-old women among developed countries. The government estimates that up to 42% of Japanese women born in 2005 and 50% of Japanese men born in the same year may not have children in their lifetime. In the US and Europe, the number of people not having children is increasing. This has been attributed to a shift in values as more people focus on self-fulfillment rather than having children.

Why should men lose twice in this equation? To preface, I am a married woman with a loving husband. This lady described a job as working for “the man”. Seems she uses girlboss and misandrist language when it suits her argument. Some people need a paycheck, or they are lucky enough to pursue their passion through their job. Some women want to be able to keep their careers either because they need it for money or they love it. And that’s a valid concern for anyone. Some women don’t want to be mothers and that’s fine. Don’t let these influencers villainise people they simply don’t agree with or understand. They don’t represent most people. In societies where women are discouraged from pursuing their careers, and encouraged to pursue being wives and mothers, there is a lack of education for girls that follows after that. because it’s not a priority and because of that women grow up to having little to no autonomy. There is physical, sexual, emotional and financial abuse in these marriages. And because it’s so tough being a single mother or a divorced woman, most women just power through the torment. Don’t believe me? visit any country outside of the West in the present day that does not have feminism. These influencers paint a fantasy of traditional gender norms that rarely exists in the world. They act like this is a new idea, but it has been done before and it’s still happening in most of the globe. From my experience, and I’ve also lived in these countries, these ideas that western influencers are pushing are failing a lot of women right now.

Life is a series of choices..said Thomas Sowell, in great wisdom. With the good, may come bad. Feminism teaches there are no tradeoffs in life, women can have it all....no tradeoffs required. That's a very harmful lie we tell women. Men can't have it all, either.

The Narrative wanted us to believe that our culture, values, and outlook had been completely eliminated beyond recall -- this is why every time we show that it's not, it feels like a victory.
We have a LONG way to go before the rest of our society has been brought back to the light, but we are not defeated and will never be defeated. The truth will always be there, to overturn evil and lies.

Life is getting harder trying to make it on your own and now women will want to go back to male support and leadership....i hope
Freezing eggs at a young age is insane, that is the same mentality that has brought us to where we are now in the relationship sphere (sex outside of marriage). Freezing eggs is to reproduction as premarital sex is to marriage

What is this crazy attention on this girl boss fenomena. Some women, probably a small part are naturally designed or nurtured in a way to be proactive and create businesses, hire people, etc. This is also true for a small portion of the men. I dont see any difference. The rest of the people, both men and women, have regular jobs, sometimes advanced careeers or science achievements, etc, bur are not business owners. I dont understand the hype and then the anti hype.

There are a lot of hateful people online on both sides. There also are a lot of woman haters.
I’m not religious but I was raised Christian. There is a passage from the Bible that sticks in my mind whenever I read or hear about harsh unfair criticism online. Jesus tells a man to pull the post out of his eye before criticizing the splinter in someone else’s eye. A lot of these critics should ponder this bit of wisdom. Basically, it says examine the larger problems in your life before you focus on the small problems in the life of someone else.
