First, I'll do a test fit. I'll check what kind of kit it is and think about where and how to make any necessary adjustments.
In this project, the theme is to modify the body to reproduce some of Piazza's beautiful lines as faithfully as possible.

Great, a new model from Kenji! I'm pretty sure this car was never sold in Germany because I don't know it. But that doesn't bother me. I'm still very curious to see what you get out of this old kit!

I have inquired about this car and it's quite interesting.
Just like I guessed it was never sold in Germany but in Switzerland, it also was presented to the public for the first time as a concept car at the Geneva Motor Show in 1979 because Isuzu was quite popular in Switzerland a decade before. It is a very interesting car due to the design by Giugiaro and a chassis from Lotus and quite respectable driving performance for the time.
2 beautiful things to bridge cultures...model cars and baseball. Everything feels right in the world suddenly. 😊
I like that you are building a regular car with this kit and not a tuner. You made an interesting choice this time.
Hi Kenji, I'm amazed how you can measure, and see the discrepancies on this body. The instrument panel looks detailed although it will need your magic to make it sharp. It seems that you will be fixing a lot on this, but it's also half the fun of watching. I wonder if this kit has an option for an electric drive motor. It's the only sense that I can make of the large gear on the rear wheel. Thank you for sharing Kenji, and take care.
Hi Brian, this kit is a very old one that uses the mold of a plastic model designed for playing by buying a separate motor and assembling it to make it run.

Given the quality of work I've seen you produce, I'm looking forward to how you are going to upgrade this older kit. It's an interesting subject - I think those Isuzu sports cars are very rare now - and is it one of those old motorized kits from the early 1980s? Some of the chassis parts on those were very "chunky".
Apparemment, il y a des défauts sur ce modèle. Votre œil expert les a vite remarqués.
Mais je suis certain que vous aller pouvoir arranger ça "à votre façon".

前後異径タイヤの採用は初代NSXが日本初のようなので、じつはピアッツァはノーマルだと前後同サイズタイヤかもしれませんね（不確かいえすが、、、）
タイヤは同じ大きさだと思いますよ。

蓋をそっと閉じました。
シャーシー裏のモールドとか、ちゃんとピアッツァだし、頑張ってるとは思うんですがねぇ・・
最近のキットを知っていると、これはちょっとそっ閉じ案件ですね。

初期型は、あの"線の細さ"というか
華奢な美しさが魅力なのに(個人的見解)。
ボディもこうして見ると、トラップ的な
要修正箇所が沢山…

確かにリアは車高チョイ上げくらいが
丁度良さそうです。
フロントは…左にあります、昔の私が
腰掛けている車の写真を参考にして頂けると
幸いに思います(もちろんノーマルです)。
非常に分かりづらいとは思いますが💦
実車は発進時にちょいと雑にクラッチを
繋ぐと"ピョコッ"とリアが跳ね上がる
独特な乗り味でしたねぇ…。
アニメに出てくる改造車のキットなのである程度は仕方がないですね。
キットを出してくれるだけでもありがたいです😃

なんですが…違いはパーツの成形色
だけです。
他はこのメカドック仕様と完っっ全に
同じなんですよ🤣
あー、そちらの箱絵のやつも中身はほぼ同じだそうですね。
完全な手抜きのような…😂
