Hey! Not to bombard you with unsolicited advice, but I also had some hair loss due to hormonal issues and one of the things that helped me most was following the curly girl method. Basically you baby the heck out of your hair! I detangle by completely saturating my hair in a conditioning balm in the bath and using a wide tooth plastic comb to detangle 1-inch sections of my hair from the ends up under warm running water. I know it sounds high maintenance but it reduced the amount of hair I was losing during regular detangling by like 90% Once I'm out I use a microfiber hair wrap, and I don't run a brush through my hair again until it's bone dry. I highly recommend trying it! Was a game changer for me!
hey! try getting a detangling brush instead of a styling brush, it rips hair out! look for a brush with holes in it like the unbrush or something like the tangle teaser. and use shea moistures conditioner for better slip (i wouldn’t recommend shea for anything else. personally it isn’t my favorite product but the slip is great!) to help with a better wash day detangle hair before so it doesn’t get matted even more.
Thanks for sharing this! I get terrible tangles in my curls and sometimes it takes me 45 minutes to detangle I'm the shower. It's exhausting. Gonna try one of those brushes because I feel like my hair has really thinned and lots of breakage.
@@thechroniclesofanniemcgeethose brushes work really well also Paul Mitchell’s lite detangler spray works wonders apply before using the brush a nd work from the ends of your hair in section s

if the product is white on your hair like that, it means it’s not really absorbing into your hair, and that you should try a different product, maybe a lighter one. Also, try brushing from the ends first and work your way up. It helps with tangles and breakage. ❤
Side note: If you find you're struggling with bald or thinning spots and you know it's not genetics, try easing up on protective styles and just go natural fro awhile. OR, make sure your protective styles are not too tight/heavy.
Lots of people diagnosing here, but dermatologists are great for identifying causes of hair loss. They should be able to tell you if it is hormones, stress, or something like traction alopecia (given that it is on your crown and that you use protective styles, that would be my initial guess). When I was losing hair, my dermatologist gave me real peace of mind by ruling out the scary stuff and reassuring me that it was temporary (stress!) and not permanent.
This is very true I also initially thought it was traction alopecia however if you look the thinning is dispersed back along the part (Norwood 3 ) and my hair did the same thing but it kept getting worse and worse. So, I went to turkey got a transplant only to lose my hair AGAIN! Hormones were normal everything was good except my iron … the iron is the culprit because I had malabsorption three dermatologists could not diagnose it but the internal doctor finally did
The struggle is so real when you detangle after a protective style 😂😂 I’m not sure if you’ve heard of it or even want to use anything, but a lot of beauty supply stores in the south usually carry a product called “baby don’t be bald” - it’s a bit greasy, but it is a conditioning agent and helps with hair regrowth. I used it for my child when she was a baby and I use it for myself even now, but just passing it along as a possible option if you were looking 😊 Continue to be your best, beautiful self ❤❤❤
You should get a spray bottle so you can spray your hair when you brush it or get a different brush or use a comb. I like the other line of Shea Moisture Manuka Honey Yogurt line. If your hair is wetter it will place less stress when combing or brushing.
I started to loose my hair after my mom passed. I went radical and shaved my hair off. I choose to go bald. Now that my hair is growing back, I'm disappointed. I still loose more hair than normal. But I have a lot of stress at work. I have a doctor's appointment next week. Your clip reminds what to tell my doc. I know that my comment is weird but thank you for reminding me. You look gorgeous btw ❤
Woman here! I had hair thinning when I dropped 40 lbs and when I was peak in my alcoholism. 9 months sober and after a trip to my pcp, found out I was vitamin d deficient, that with some biotin and men’s Rogaine (women’s is more expensive but the SAME ingredient) it has thickened back up a LOT! Take a trip to your pcp for some advice. 😊
i love your videos but thats disgusting not to brush your hair for that long. i can see and understand if it was only a few days but thats it. im a mother of a 4 year old and 2 1 year olds and im a single mother. i also work 8 hours a day. i dont get paid to sit on my ass and make videos. if i can brush my hair and teeth everyday and bathe everyday as well as brush their hair and teeth and bathe them everyday. also cook and clean everyday while having a 8 hour job and college. if i can do all that then there is NO excuse or reason you cant just brush your hair!!
Thought you should know, your personality is beautiful. It’s a pleasure to watch your channel and relationship. I’ve followed you for a while now and it’s very inspiring to watch you and your channel grow. May God bless you 😌
First Heyy sierra I just wanted to say I love you so much and that you have inspired me and I just wanted to say thank you and keep going forward never give up🫶🏽
As a curly hair girly, the WET brush works! It helps to detangle without too much tugging. Idk the magic of that brush, but once I got it, I dont use anything else.
Protective styles can also be harmful if they're parted in the same spot or too tight. Also softer, curly hair with protective braiding can be more fragile to breakage and balding. Give your natural soft curls a break and let them breathe out of the protective style instead of going back to back with these protective styles. If you insist on doing a protective braid styles, choose a style that does not put so much tension on that portion of your head and try parting it differently. And be sure to frequently moisturize and condition while wearing these protective styles.
...some more unsolicited advice: 1. Always start detangling from the ends to the root. 2. For PCOS hair loss, get a DHT blocker shampoo. 3. Start taking Spironolactone.. ask your doctor for it.
Girly !!!! DONT USE CANTÙ I used to love cantu but I noticed I was losing SO MUCH HAIR and I had early balding in the front and ever since I stopped it it’s been so much better and so much the same for many people ! My curls are VERY similar to yours, and I tried the protective styles for years.. I legit almost went bald my scalp was SO DRY.. turns out all I needed was consistent hydration and to let my curls BREATHE... my hair has stopped falling.. all I did was begin wetting (not shampooing) my hair at least 4x a week, shampooing 2x a week, using deep conditioners before washing my hair, and only detangling w a wide tooth comb when its wet, after applying a leave in conditioner... and no more tight hairstyles. Please try to find a hair care routine that works for you, long term protective styles don't work for every curl pattern.. MAYBE 😅you need a different brush? There’s a “hybrid” brush that has picky comb like bristles like the one you have in this video and it also has soft bristles. It takes out tangles but in a more gentle way. Try it?😊
Having the same part, in the same place can cause balding. If you're concerned, try some different styles that moves your part around a little. Having a tight style can pull hair out, & cause balding. You're beautiful regardless!

Don't ever comb your hair wet, when your hair is wet it is in its weaked stage. Combing hair while wet will lead to more hairfall top of that gently comb your hair girl, not so harshly. Put coconut or rosemary oil on scalp and hair then start slowly combing your hair from bottom to top, never comb directly on scalp. Also curly hair needs to be washed everyday by just water twice in a week with shampoo. Your hair is getting bad and Tangled because you're not giving them enough water or moisture everyday.
