This was by far the best video ever. I'm having the exact issue now with mine but my scanner that works for every other vehicle wont work for my l322. I'm waiting for a new scanner for it so I can go through and clear the same codes. Thanks for this video.
Hi there watch all the 4 videos I did in the series, as the fix for my car was down to the steering angle sensor that was causing the air suspension light to come on.
Ahhh! The joy of owning a car full of electronics, you are lucky that your spare wheel lift did not break, my new one broke at the attachment before it even started to lift the wheel, "Made in Germany" it said on the broken plastic bit! Many thanks for posting this investigation. Chris B.
@@GrooveOn Yes it was very heavy, there is another type of "crane" which lifts directly upwards, it attaches to the top of the roof gutter I think, but after breaking my new lift I re made the thin plastic German made ones with stainless steel, in the same design, but just using a proper material, it all work fine now, quite ingenious how it lifts the wheel onto the lower tailgate.Chris B.
Well he makes it look so easy finding everything spot on! In reallity its a bit more involved! lots of sub-menues and small glitches along the way! I bought it for two of the most common issues with the LR3, the Air-suspension and EPB! neither of these could be found in the Diagnostics menue??? or did I miss something? make sure you are very, very well orientated with all menues, sub-menues, buttons and commands before trying anything cause if you make a mistake it can be a daunting task trying to rectify the error!....There is a tool called, IID-tool, this is a top professional tool for three times the price and if I cant find the Air-suspension, EBP, etc I guess thats the obvious choice!
The air suspension is linked with others systems, the issue I found was because of steering angle sensor in next episode.ruclips.net/video/6Y18Ku4f1KE/видео.html, Also this video shows another fix. ruclips.net/video/y16dPBTGtqs/видео.html
A hard to find kind of video: A very well made Video, systematic and to the point. By the way, any source when checking error codes for specific car model/year? Range Rover Vogue 2008, Diesel V8. L322. Thanks!!
Thank you Felix, very kind. So when you use icarsoft you choose your car model/year, and it will then talk to the ECU with the relevant systems that can be checked
What do you guys make of this: Transmission safety program Also transfer case neutral And air suspension inactive. The first two come up a lot and the it suspension inactive came up once.
Hey Groove On, I've tried everything that you did in your video, torn apart the trunk, lifted out the spare, and cleaned the connection...still getting a Can Bus fault for Air Suspension. What should I check next, even replaced the whole air suspension pump! Lord, I could have used that money for something else, but the mechanic was too hasty. Help! Love your channel, insights and all things Range Rover
hello my friend, did you check my other video in Episode 4? would be good if you subscribed ! this is the one that I actually found the cause of the fault. It was the steering angle sensor that is linked somehow to the air suspension. ruclips.net/video/6Y18Ku4f1KE/видео.html
When you say the seal, do you mean the seal on the long tank underneath the car or on the compressor itself, because one of the faults on my air suspension says compressor temp static when filling. I've got can bus fault on my icarsoft so I'm going to try the disconnect on the compressor connection see if that works. I'm impressed with your video btw thanks for showing it in detail.
Hi There, the seal is in the compressor itself, under spare wheel. If you watch the next episodes 3 and 4 I show you exactly what you need to do. Thanks for the kind words and if you subscribed ! ruclips.net/video/jB02LsBX8r0/видео.html ruclips.net/video/6Y18Ku4f1KE/видео.html
Hi pal I know this is unconnected to the vid but I recently had a flat battery, I took it off to charge it and when I put it back on it cranks over fine but there no power to the fuel pump IE no audible noise. I'm suspecting the inertia switch has tripped as the 25a fuel pump fuse is intact and not blown. I'm trying to locate the inertia switch under the bonnet I believe it's behind the left hand firewall, some videos on yt show it behind the plastic trim in the front passenger footwell but there is no visible marking in the plastic moulding to show it's location. Wondered if you could shed some light on it's location plus.
Hi! can this icarsoft lr 3, do a battery reset?? I have noticed that quite a bit of problems have emerged after installing a new and more powerful Battery!..cheers!
I've just ordered an icarsoft 3.0 based on your videos for my L320 2010 and the reviews on amazon are worryingly terrible. Have you used SDD? Any comparison? 😊
I know that the customer service is not great on icarsoft and is why I do the videos to help, but I have fond the diagnostic brilliant. I also use Maxicom by Autel.
Hi where did you purchase your icarsoft, i see on your video it's a v2, problem i have is I'm trying to get one here in Australia we do have dealers here but they tell me they are only good for l322 from 2006 on . Me being English (a Geordie)i love landrovers and always will even though my l322 is sending me up the wall ha ha, please let me know where you bought it
Good on you, you got a Brain your thought process is spot on , I have a LAUNCH X-431 PRO its good but you have to pay for updating every 4yrs, so I was thinking of getting a icarsoft maxi pro version V3 ?
@@GrooveOn cheers i might do that or get top range that can Program in Modules Injectors air Compressor ie Hitachi to AMK Type and calibrate Air Suspension ect , I Recommend you see DiagnoseDan on RUclips a Duch guy with a good Brain 🧠 😀

No it does not need replacing you are over working the compressor it is over heating that is all great job 👍.
Very good video - I’ll be doing this tomorrow when my scanner arrives! Great work 🙏🙏🙏👏🏼👏🏼
Did this problem come back or did this solve the issue permanently?

That must have been a struggle to lift!

thats odd, have you checked the fuel pump relay is okay, I believe is in the rear fuse box

The icarsoft has a battery management, this is to let the car know its a new battery, rather than reset as you said.
