"Worst neighborhood in SF" Meanwhile the tenderloin is just a few blocks over lmao
I like the TL!
So excited to see a plant based only offering for the masses.
It's really well done!
Doom loop was so 2021 SF is in recovery and crime is down here and across the country. Cheers from a 10 yr SF resident keep eating. We got a lot of delicious food in the mission.
I used to live in the mission! So much good and diverse food.
@@AdamDoesNotExist several new places have opened last 3-5 years check out Sanchugon, Loltun, vaca Birria is pricey but good, panchitas etc can’t go wrong
La Palma also authentic and delicious, get stuff to go to make with friends at home picnic, or get taco or burritos at the grill, I had menudo w/ my friend was also very good
And Prubuchu Guam 🇬🇺 style food on mission st
I had no idea. The "Mid-Market" area is an enclave that honestly, we're not very familiar with. Although, we have no reason to visit an IKEA, it's nice to see some "lively" retail coming back. Plant based food doesn't scare me 🤨Thanks again! 🥤
I don't know if I'd recommend it as a standalone trip from Sac. But if you're in the area it's worth at least a walk through. Though to your point. Not a ton of reason to be in the area.
FYI Saluhall originally was supposed to be 80% plant based not 100% and it’s now just “plant forward” not 100% plant based as you thought. Good to see you like it though. I’ve heard good reviews. Sad I don’t live in SF anymore (Switzerland) - but I’ll be back in a few years,
I didn't know that. I really like how it's plant forward, but not preachy in your face plant forward. They did a great job.
this showed up on my front page!! loved the edit, how you filmed it and your commentary!
Thank you so much!!
I wish Ikea well, along with its neighborhood. Adam, you seem to be a really likable guy and I thank you for your cool videos.
Thank you!
dude! you make really cool stuff! keep going and the views will follow in mass for sure!!
Thank you!!! That means a lot!
It's not really a doom loop. It's just that tech makes wfh permanent for a third of the population.
I wonder if the impending commercial real estate implosion is a real thing. I guess we'll wait and see.

As a vegetarian I'd really love to stop by here and try it out!
Also the "worst neighborhood" in SF is a few blocks away in the Tenderloin lmao.
I made a video about the TL and I really enjoyed it! But yes you must visit!!!
70 cents? That’s cheaper than Costco
Right! So cheap!
Thanks for covering this! I've been super curious about this.
You're welcome! It was a fun one to make!!
I used to always park at the 6x6 parking garage when going to Supreme, it was like a hidden gem.
Another cool video😉👍💯
I've never been to an Ikea ever despite living here in San Francisco for almost 30 years, but I plan to do so soon in addition to visiting Saluhall.
Thank you! It's worth the trip in my opinion. Really cool to see new development in that area.
so cool thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Doom loop pertains to the office buildings and commercial spaces which affects that specific part of the City’s financial district. That area I do not see ever recovering fully because it’s a drag to commute there. I think tourists are better off going anywhere else. What’re you gonna do? People rather work at home and shop online. Go see all the other many gorgeous things in the City. And of course an IKEA is not on that list.❤
Lived in SF and east bay for almost 20 years, now in NYC and drop-dead horrified what I see in some doom loop Bay Area videos on RUclips. What’s really going on? It’s hard to know the real story without spending a few days there. Some of these areas look pretty bad, but it doesn’t look like it’s beyond redemption (but Oakland is looking tougher by the minute). And I’m glad to see the traction building on your channel, best part are the b-roll little random unscripted comments. :)
Glad you like those! I've been unsure about including them.
It really is tough to know what's real and what's not in SF. The area around mid market an union square feels like it's still in pretty bad shape. Downtown apparently has an impeding commercial real estate crisis. But as soon as you get into the neighborhoods, everything feels great.
Yeah downtown is a little more quiet these days (honestly not horrific or anything crazy like that), but the rest of city is fine. Nothing at all like the weird Armageddon that is portrayed on social media for clout. I have to admit that going around Union square now isn’t as fun as it was before the pandemic, but i hate reading doomsday comments from people who watch Tenderloin footage (duh, it can be sketchy there and has always been) from hundreds of miles away and spew hate just to spew hate. I think the city took a hard blow these last couple years, but I can see it coming back up.
Really great video 👏 gotta pay this Ikea a visit now lol
You should! Honestly it exceeded my expectations.
My last IKEA trip was in the middle of the city (Hamburg, Germany) back in 2015.
Good to know!
@@AdamDoesNotExist that one was also an experiment, as I recall. One of the first, fi not the first, "City Ikeas." They did a killer business in their food court ... it was very nice for me to be able to buy stuff for my flat and not need a car to get there
I visit San Francisco yearly. I plan to be in town during Independence Day weekend. Thanks for giving something new to explore. PS I started subscribing to your content.
Glad to have you here!
the house prices have not
fallen
Kewl
California San Francisco... of course
And they shut the streets down so you can’t drive down them. Main Streets like market st and Powell st.
Only Market street has banned cars. And that's pretty normal for the main street in a city these days. No one wants to smell your fumes as they're walking around.
I think everyone agrees that this was a good move for Market Street. Personally I like it a lot more now.
