I am an old lady (76) and I just can't imagine someone doing something like this. I just love all the kids and their mothers around me, but I am just not a hateful person.
The kids in my neighborhood are nice too. My girlfriend’s neighbor kids are nasty, rude, and disrespectful AND the mother’s don’t care. You love good kids and they’re moms. I bet you wouldn’t like if they treated you nasty,rude and disrespectful!!💯🙄

Don’t buy the defense argument at all. She was locked in her house! The neighbor wasn’t banging on her windows or busting down the door. She was banging. She quickly called 911 to report the shooting and ALL the other times she called the police on her neighbors, she Could have dialed 911 to report the neighbor banging on the door instead of shooting her!! I don’t think she was scared at all, well maybe after the shooting, I think when she shot she was pissed off! Which is why she shot! She’s 100% Guilty!

I guess they're going for Manslaughter? I'm surprised they didn't go for 2nd degree. The defendant knew the victim was stood in front of her door, and she fired directly at said door. That's intent, and intent is 9/10s of the law. Banging on a door yelling is no reason to shoot someone. Granted, the defendant didn't know the victim was unarmed, but she also had no proof the victim was armed either. That said, the defendant had no reasonable probable cause to feel threatened enough to use deadly force. Susan may be looking forward to a new life in prison. How long of a prison life remains to be seen, but it's pretty obvious Susan will be convicted. If I was on the jury, I'd vote guilty.
It's disgusting that she is not being charged with murder. I read that for second degree murder she has to meet the requirements for a depraved mind. "Depraved mind requires evidence of hatred, spite, ill will or evil intent toward the victim at the time of the killing." Susan absolutely fits the description at the time she murdered AJ. If you want the luxury of not having to be around other people's children then you better have the money to either buy your own large property or rent in a retirement village... Susan is a premeditated murder, perpetrated by a woman who waited for the perfect moment to shoot her neighbor, has left four children motherless. We need justice and life imprisonment without parole, as well as additional charges of assault and attempted murder for endangering the children with her gunfire. I would of like the prosecutor to point out that fact that Karen created the danger she now was scared of. As I understand it, the Florida Stand Your Ground Law, allows deadly force when a person is in imminent danger of death or gross bodily injury when in their own home. She may have been in her own home, but the victim had NOT entered the home so there was no imminent threat. Also the victim was unarmed. The defendant was behind a locked metal door. Verbal threats and pounding on a door may be frightening, but not life threatening. Besides, she had already called 911 and police were on the way. All she had to do was wait. There was no need for shooting a gun at a door, especially when she had no idea who or how many people were behind that door. One of the kids might have joined his mom and could have become the victim. This woman just needed an excuse to shoot the victim. She is guilty IMO and deserves as much jail time as the court allows.

I guess they're going for Manslaughter? I'm surprised they didn't go for 2nd degree. The defendant knew the victim was stood in front of her door, and she fired directly at said door. That's intent, and intent is 9/10s of the law. Banging on a door yelling is no reason to shoot someone. Granted, the defendant didn't know the victim was unarmed, but she also had no proof the victim was armed either. That said, the defendant had no reasonable probable cause to feel threatened enough to use deadly force. Susan may be looking forward to a new life in prison. How long of a prison life remains to be seen, but it's pretty obvious Susan will be convicted. If I was on the jury, I'd vote guilty.
It's disgusting that she is not being charged with murder. I read that for second degree murder she has to meet the requirements for a depraved mind. "Depraved mind requires evidence of hatred, spite, ill will or evil intent toward the victim at the time of the killing." Susan absolutely fits the description at the time she murdered AJ. If you want the luxury of not having to be around other people's children then you better have the money to either buy your own large property or rent in a retirement village... A day filled with laughter and joy turned into a nightmare as four babies lost their mother. The community area was supposed to be a safe space, but Karen aka Susan had other plans. Why didn't the police stop her earlier? Why did she feel entitled to the area? These children were just being kids, playing outside with their friends. My heart is shattered; justice must be served for these innocent souls!
Susan is a premeditated murder, perpetrated by a woman who waited for the perfect moment to shoot her neighbor, has left four children motherless. We need justice and life imprisonment without parole, as well as additional charges of assault and attempted murder for endangering the children with her gunfire.

As I understand it, the Florida Stand Your Ground Law, allows deadly force when a person is in imminent danger of death or gross bodily injury when in their own home. She may have been in her own home, but the victim had NOT entered the home so there was no imminent threat. Also the victim was unarmed. The defendant was behind a locked metal door. Verbal threats and pounding on a door may be frightening, but not life threatening. Besides, she had already called 911 and police were on the way. All she had to do was wait. There was no need for shooting a gun at a door, especially when she had no idea who or how many people were behind that door. One of the kids might have joined his mom and could have become the victim. This woman just needed an excuse to shoot the victim. She is guilty IMO and deserves as much jail time as the court allows.
She googled the law prior to this happening and used exact verbiage from it during the interrogation. Go watch it if you haven’t already.
