- Muay Thai Vs Karate! Throughout the travels of the 2023 YOKKAO USA Tour the Fight Team find themselves at the incredible Upstate Karate Gym, home of UFC’s Stephen “Wonderboy” Thomson. After an incredibly inspiring tour of the facility it was time to get to work with yet another stellar seminar. Once the change in technique for these incredible martial artists was established it was time to put a clash of styles on the line with some sparring. With Duangdawnoi kicking things off the style difference was apparent. From the classic forward marching Muay Thai stance, to the side profile and bouncing footwork of Karate. Both Duangdawnoi and her sparring partner traded kicks, both landing in their own right showing the effectiveness of both given styles. This was seen throughout all rounds but most notably in a fight fanatics wildest dreams, where we saw the GOAT of Muay Thai go up against UFC legend Stephen Thomson. In a truly humble and lighthearted exchange between these two striking icons as they laughed and threw their equally unique strikes in a back in forth to satisfy any fight fan. What a day, what an experience for all. Thank you Upstate Karate for your hospitality. How do you think Muay Thai matches up against Karate? Let us know in the comments below!

Seems like this gyms has tons of great Muaythai warriors and also they sparring with the old legend Saenchai with tons of respect.
Love from Thailand🙏🙏🙏💕💕💕
12:25 black guy is beast, big respect from Poland, you inspiration it was so fun to watch
Throws a bit too hard imo
@@napatt.7943 He's sparring a pro, he'll just match the intensity, nothing wrong with a heavier spar if done right.
Very talented students in both schools. Nice. 🙏
such a fun vid, and love the light sparring with Saenchai... even just goofing off you can see his skill and reaction time are just insane
Looking at some of these guys here..im sure there's as much fun going on, as there is learning
Can’t wait til I’m able to join a gym and start my training
Is that Sensei Seth as the second person?
Yes
Obvi yes
Damn. That girl threw multiple axe kicks
Girl at 3:46 is disrespectful. Starts with a jumping side kick to the body and then face, then tries for an axe kick? Wow
always a fat ting
none of that was jumping. those are point-fighting style kicks and they were both light lol
She threw kicks the whole fight bro
prolly the nerves. that also doesnt make you a bad human beeing.
Karate fighters have great balance for single leg kick combos ☝️ It’s her style, and she’s not even hitting hard
3:50 best fighter 👏
lol 14:42 that little hop kick needs to see some UFC use.... absolutely devastating
Icy Mike at 0:24!
14:54 was funny :D
3:43 she was the beat fighter in the class ☝️
Saenchai treating Icy Mike like an old man! XD
Need more speed. But very good friendly sparring 👍
But who was that girl from the yokkao team tho🤔😫😫😫
She cute
Duangdawnoi.
This ep Duangdownoi have to spar with big person that seem normal. 😂
Who is the guy that keeps talking in the background?
If you're talking about the guy in pink that's Stephen Thompson
Makes sense
S2
First
Third🎉
who is second then?
What's wrong with these black guys always sparring hard, like they have to prove something.. Jeez man
Probably felt pressure because of the camera.
Karate doesn’t work against may Thai…
karate not bad
but best is
mma > muay thai > kickboxing > kiokoshing
Tbf they're doing Muay Thai sparring. Karate in a full fight would be trying to use the range and blitz in and out and not play the game of standing and exchanging like they're doing. I train Muay Thai and agree it's the best striking base but I don't think it's that simple of a match up
@@madmaster3d you all havent trained a day in your life. Yt shorts watchers lmao
lol im a muay thai athele for more than 2 years
just dont be fanatic & learn muay thai
@@Quasi
@@madmaster3dIf you actually knew enough about martial arts, you wouldn’t consider mma a martial art nor would you call kyokushin “kiokoshing”
