No, because it can’t introduce characters that are relevant to the plot or make any meaningful change to any character.
@@Br0ku Fenzell is my least liked Black Clover character, because when reading the manga, it was confusing (in my opinion) to insert a character Asta knew as a mentor that I had no clue existed. The side novels and movies are really cool for fans (like me, I went back and read the first novel, it was solid) and the subtle nods like the anime showing the character from the movie is really cool. But you can’t expect every manga reader to know these things exist. I’ve learned as I grew older you can make literally anything you want canon and extend/add to any story you want. When re-reading black clover I’m not going to stop reading the manga after the elf saga watch a movie then continue to read the manga. I’m going to read chapter 1 to the end. Characters like fenzell should stay in the side projects, because it confuses the readers. I liked the movie a lot, but I wouldn’t want a fan who doesn’t have a Netflix subscription to be expected to know who Conrad is to understand what’s going on when they read every chapter of the manga. @@Metalcry146 so.. you didn’t actually watch the video… good to know
My mistake mate great video ty for explaining!@Br0ku
Wasnt asta using the form he got after yami got taken by the triad? wouldnt that take away its canonicity? since the moviue his giving him that form AND has Yami still not taken by the triad yet? I'm not super tapped w BC so i could be mistaking the form but idk
@@uhhshae I explained why this doesn’t take from its canonicity in the video.
ahhh so devil arm asta isn't in the movie? thast what i was talking about
@@uhhshae devil arm Asta is in the movie. Why does that take away from its canonicity ? I explained why it doesn’t in the video. Just let me know and I can try and explain further
@@Br0ku I’m typing as I’m watching (which is dumb because I can get my answers in the video if I just wait lol)
But at 3:28 you said if we were to take the Netflix articles word then we should expect to see devil arm asta, and we did. So I was thinking since devil arm asta happened after/when Yami was taken, and he’s not taken in the movie, that it wasn’t cannon. But I’m guessing I’m missing or not understanding something about that part of the vid
But like I said I’ve only watched/read BC once so I could just have my timelines and stuff wrong and be calling the wrong form Devil arm
@@uhhshae I explained later Devil Arm Asta as in he has a permanent devil arm. Since he loses the devil arm in the movie it doesn’t break canon.
It canon to me now I'll go finish it lol
Soo basically a yap session without an actual statement to prove it’s canon like every other manga and anime
Have you actually watched the full video

It doesn't really matter if its cannon or not cause manga asta is wayyyyyy stronger than movie asta
Imagine manga Asta with the Imperial Sword, that would be _wild_
We’re episodes 157-158 after the 6 month timeskip 3:43
Episode 157 before

Magic knight captains vs espada ???
Even if people thought it wasn't canon I'd still consider it the true end to the series. Asta gets done so dirty after the events of this movie.
If you skip the movie will it feel like you skipped chapters in the manga? Can this movie make any significant changes to the characters if it was canon when the movie was written years after the manga chapters were written? No. Does it matter if the movie is canon or not? No, because it can’t introduce characters that are relevant to the plot or make any meaningful change to any character.
@@dominicmallano5633 it adds to the characters and adds to the story. Just because it can be skipped doesn’t mean anything.
I’m not saying the movie isn’t canon, I can write a thrilling tale in the same time skip how Asta saved the princess of Hyrule and make that canon too.
The answer no i save you 19.52 in 10 seconds
Yes the movie is canon
I think it is canon cause maybe the movie took place during the time skip
I think it’s not cannon because it’s shows everyone in their ts outfits and they didn’t say anything about the devils plus asta didn’t have yami’s katana and there was no sign that asta and his devil were cool now
Asta didn’t have the katana and wasn’t cool with the devil until chapters 259 and 269. The movie takes place before 229
@@Br0ku so why in the movie it seems like asta has mastered flying but at the start of pts asta looks like he’s still trying to control flying
@@Truly.moe486 because at the start of the timeskip he’s flying in a very strong grand magic region.
I love you

I appreciate your analysis and your love for Black Clover. But everyone knows that most anime movies are not canon to the story. If it doesn’t appear in the manga in some way, it’s only inspiration from the story. This how it has been with everything else until the author says otherwise. Still love your content though.
@@HiTechHead and the author said otherwise. Thanks 🙏
