The angle the bed was shot from does make it seem like there's not a lot of head space. It didn't help that I made the bed with multiple big pillows and a fluffy comforter. :) But because of the skylight, there is plenty of room. We can both fully sit up straight in bed and the 4x4 skylight keeps it from feeling closed in. At the end of the day, I decided to give more room to spaces we'd be spending the most time in and was willing to make the bed space a little tighter since most of the time I'm in there, I'm asleep.
Yeah, that loft looks like a nightmare for adults! But everything else about the house is awesome and a pullout couch would make it perfect for vacations.
Love it! Good job! Your dad did a really nice job on the outside and his creative living room shelves - over the sofa - are beautiful! I love the smiles on your faces and the dogs. All that matters is that you both are happy. 😍
Nice tiny house, the only thing I would change is making a covered porch sloping opposite of the house. Wrap it in mosquito netting with a screen door. This would help in the winter as mud room too.
I am so happy for you that you got your tiny home and niw you have a wonderful husband to spend the rest of your life with and you have a home to live in and a tiny home for wkends with 2 beautiful dogs…❤
I really like what she’s done with the property. The RV sites are a great way to get passive income and they can get away from it all to get to the cascades. I personally don’t like the bed situation but it’s mainly because I’m a lot older than this couple l lol. The rest of the place is fabulous and she did an awesawesome job on the backsplash!
To solve the sliding door issue-take it out! Replace with a window instead. Your front entrance door needs to be hinges on the inside of the cabin. Exterior doors should never have the door hinges on the outside. All someone needs is a screwdriver and hammer (or a rock) to knock out the pin in the hinges and swing the door open to gain entry into your home. Removing the slider would give you more wall space inside as well. I would paint the outside storage doors and trim (now painted white) the same color as the siding-that way they "disappear." I know you're hating the slider-that's why I mentioned this-I love the cabin and think you and your Dad did an amazing job-the proof is how happy you all are.❤
The best way to make a loft bed . Buy a light weight mattress topper . Get bedding for it . Pull it out remake it up with your sheets put it back on making the rest of the bed is easy . Your location is really nice .
Love your cozy home. You can also sew a comforter where one side is a sheet and the other side's a thicker fabric. That way you don't have to tuck in or straighten any sheets.
Such a cool house! The plywood was a really good idea, it works really well in your spot. I have the same problem making my bed in my camper/mini van - the struggle is real! 😁
Nice except the bedroom. It’s near a river so there is a chance that it will be flooded. Hopefully you will keep the wheels & axles in good repair in case you need to move it. 🙂
You can't tell from the drone shots but there's a really substantial well-made berm that runs along our entire property. Even at it's highest, the river is still many feet below the level of the house.

I’m not a carpenter. And I’m sure you have thought about this but could you flip the sliding door upside down? I’m sure there would be some stuff wrong but I would definitely try it. 😅
We definitely looked into that and of course tried all options. The thing is, I got this door second-hand and it isn't a particularly quality door. Because of how the door sits in the frame, the door has to be orientated a certain way so that all the venting works and water channels drain properly. We want to replace it someday but for now, it works for us. :)
Appreciate your honesty and showing us your home. The bed is not workable for me however. If I ever got one with a loft would use for storage, or when son visits. I would put a daybed in living room if necessary. You are positive and delightful. Thanks.
We of course tried this. But not all doors are made the same. We also got this door second-hand so it didn't come with any instructions or manuals that could tell us one way or the other. Lastly, sliding doors are made to be able to channel water away when it rains. If we flip it and it's not made to be flipped, we could end up with water in places we don't wat it to be.
I can see why this wasn't a long term live. The bed alone sounds stressful but other than that, it's nice. Room for improvements if you want to but they're not needed.
Beautiful build. Note sliding glass doors are made to be switched to open either way. My dad and I did mine just from watching a RUclips video. I recommend having someone handy to help. 😊
We definitely looked into this but not all sliding doors are made the same way. For whatever reason, this one could not be flipped without compromising the water channels and venting. We got it second hand so it didn't come with any instructions or a manual that tells us one way or the other. We of course tried this, though. We will eventually replace it with something nicer down the road but it works for us now.
I'd rather have a proper bedroom on the same floor like I've seen in other tiny homes but most lofts I've seen are better than this too! I'd hate that bed! Also if wanted to display the dishes I'd go for glass cabinets can show off the pottery but at the same time not have to worry about dust going in the dishes. Perhaps the door is a way to fix it so the slide is on the other side. Probably can hire a handy man or someone that knows how to do it.
I’m claustrophobic and I didn’t enjoy watching her in the bedroom. She seems happy with it , tho . The rest of the house is nice and the property next to the river is awesome!

1:36 - I’ve been researching tiny living for over 10 years and that is the most awful loft-entry I’ve EVERRRRRRR seen!! Not giving proper head clearance is a huge design fail.

did you have to contend with zoning laws? Are you connected to the grid for electricity (you mentioned you are on septic so obviously you get your water from a well and waste gets pumped out into your septic field). I don’t think I could sleep in that loft, if changing the bedding involves sweating. Was there an option to raise the roof?
We got it from Article! It's called the Timber 90" leather sofa. I've had it for five years and it's held up great. It looks better the more it wears. Very happy with the investment!

Ok , your budget permitted you to afford a tiny house / retreat . You met a guy and moved into his home . Basically you tiny house is the office to the RV camp you own next lot over . I get it now , Residual income !
It would be so awesome if this channel would share where these houses are so people who are interested in doing the same thing know where it's legal. (My guess is most of them aren't actually legal and that's why this channel doesn't) This is a gorgeous tiny home! Love love love!!! ❤❤❤❤
It's beautiful for you and pet. But you may want to upgrade to larger now thatbit is you, him and 2 pets. Double people, double pets and double finances.
Why would you build your bedroom like it is, yes it's good to stand up and get dressed but it's so closed in, I don't know how you could sleep in there, same for your shower with it being so tiny, when your tiny house was being built couldn't you have worked out a way to have a bigger shower and better bedroom layout, but anyway it's still a lovely home
We are well aware that the shower is tiny which is why we have a full sized and very spacious outdoor shower that we use 90% of the time. I realize that our priorities may be different from yours but that is what is so great about a custom tiny house, you can build it exactly to your own needs! I want to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for hearing and answering my prayers, thank You, Lord! May the Holy Spirit continue to guide us in sharing Your unconditional love. On another note, trusting the process really does bring great rewards. Working with Melissa Jonas Richard has positively impacted my financial journey, and her advice has helped me grow. If you’re considering a change, don’t hesitate and stay disciplined it could be just the opportunity you’ve been looking for!
Same here! I heard about her from a colleague at work, and I’m from the UK, by the way. Melissa is incredibly skilled, and what I love is that she’s honest and transparent. It’s not some quick schemes you see everywhere, she really educates you along the way. I’m seeing consistent returns every month. I’m so grateful!
G’day from Sydney! I can’t thank Melissa enough, she has such a good grasp of the markets and knows exactly when to move. I was drowning in debt, but now I’m living comfortably and my portfolio’s been doing really well over the past year thanks to her advice. She’s got a proven strategy, and it’s backed by multiple agencies like Forbes , the International Blockchain Association, Wall Street Financial Insights and even ASIC has also endorsed her expertise. The woman is verified!
she’s a highly respected investment advisor. What makes her stand out is her ability to predict market trends accurately. She’s been verified by many top bodies like the SEC and FCA, CoinTelegraph, the Financial Times, even Nasdaq Experts. Her reputation is solid and she always keeps you informed about market trends. I’ve personally seen amazing returns! You can totally trust her!
I have watched the video for over 3 minutes and no mention of square footage. I appreciate the video, but the most important information has still not been provided. I do know that she is married with two dogs and the place was built for one person, which has been repeated 2-3 times. Thank you for the video, but I can't watch it anymore.
I like the design. I would enclose the deck with mosquito screen for the warmer months. A little grammar help: we use "farther" when we're talking about distance or length, and "further" for anything else. Therefore you would say something like "Farther along the trail, we have camping facilities." not, "Further along..." Also, "Hot water heater" is redundant. Just say "water heater". All good wishes.
Until it's my turn, I'll keep clapping for others. Congratulations on getting your own home.❤❤
Amen ❤👏🏻
Amen. Again
Lovely. The bed would be a no go for me. Not enough head space. Too high off floor. 😊❤
I agree, I thought the exact same thing.

Cute little place but I personally couldn't do that bed LOL. Happy to see people living and loving their dreams 💞
Beautiful home! I could not live with the bed area, however! Was raising the roof some not an option? Glad that it works for you!
Honestly if it's only used as a vacation home it makes more sense to just get a pull out bed/couch and turn the loft into storage or a dog bed area
Totally agree
Yeah, that loft looks like a nightmare for adults! But everything else about the house is awesome and a pullout couch would make it perfect for vacations.
For 65k? It isn’t worth it with the bed situation!
I just love how happy the dog is. ❤🐶❤️
Love it! Good job! Your dad did a really nice job on the outside and his creative living room shelves - over the sofa - are beautiful! I love the smiles on your faces and the dogs. All that matters is that you both are happy. 😍

I like to live outside on the lanai in Hawaii. We actually have a lot of the year if we want we can do it on the mainland too.
I am so happy for you that you got your tiny home and niw you have a wonderful husband to spend the rest of your life with and you have a home to live in and a tiny home for wkends with 2 beautiful dogs…❤
It's a tiny home / office next to her lot for RVS campgrounds and the husband was a treat now she back into a house . Interesting
Congrats on achieving the American Dream. Just love your pups and your husbby looks so nice! Enjoy all of it!!!

Other than the claustrophobic bed, it is a very tiny house. The outdoor space is wonderful.
Would love to know what they do in their full time remote jobs! That's what I need to travel the way I want.
Me too
Very Nice Home and Footage 🎥

Beautiful little home! I'm afraid I'd be sleeping in your guest house though. The bed in the loft is way too tight a space for me!
Beautiful Tiny home with the fur babies 😊
Such a peaceful location. Good job explaining everything.
Agreed and was thinking same thing. Love the details and the property is a dream.
What an amazing, beautiful family and tiny house! Many blessings to you and your tiny dogs.
Nice everything but that bed! Wow I couldn’t get up nor wiggle over lol. Rest is really nice as is the location
Such a cool house!
The plywood was a really good idea, it works really well in your spot.

You can't tell from the drone shots but there's a really substantial well-made berm that runs along our entire property. Even at it's highest, the river is still many feet below the level of the house.

Gorgeous location and a lovely tiny but the bed situation would really do my head in…

nice tiny house but not convinced about the bedroom. seems quite uncomfortable and I would be scared to fall down once asleep.
Motivation to start their cabin.
@gregpendrey6711 definitely... as one gets older one needs to avoid hazards as much as one can xx
You know, I'm 82 and I've never fallen out of bed. Have you, really? If so, you could install hospital bed safety rails.
😅😅😅😅😂😂😂

Don't just don't 😂.

That makes sense I didn’t know they had drain trays. Well darn. Still is cute!
Lovely home, but. I would want a larger sleeping area.

I would hate that bed! If the skylight was over the entrance it would work better.
It’s so adorable and it’s in LEAVENWORTH! I live in NW WA and Leavenworth is my favorite town in the state.
Nice house and area but the loft bedroom looks very uncomfortable.
Really like the openess of you couch area. Great job!
Great job you and your Dad made a homey place enjoy🎉.
Thanks Jenna🌞.
JO JO IN VT 💞
Beautiful setting for a sweet home.
8:47 remove it, rotate it 180 degrees, keeping the interior side facing inward. The latch will be upside down but it will open on the correct side.

Nice tiny home. Hello from Everett!
Nice build and area 🩷
Very nice - - I would probably knock myself out getting in the bed -- but wow the sound of the creek going by would be wonderful.
The creek is awesome
I’m claustrophobic and I didn’t enjoy watching her in the bedroom. She seems happy with it , tho . The rest of the house is nice and the property next to the river is awesome!
Nice little house
Love the living space but I would have made it longer just to have a decent bed and clothing and storage closet.
Beautiful!
It's ok, but that sleeping loft is maybe the worst I've seen. there must have been a better way to have designed that. Not one of my favorites.

What a cute home, but I am too short, fat, and old to ever get into that bed.
Lovely couple! I’d like to rent one of her RV sites!

Is there a way to download the theme song to be a ringtone for my iPhone?
Beautiful except the bedroom
The only downfall is the bed.
Lovely house but I couldn't sleep in the bedroom
The loft bed is simply ridiculous, it's not fit for purpose, otherwise it's a nice home.
Your house is really nice. As you age you will probably want a bigger house with a downstairs bedroom
We don't live here full-time and it's motivation to stay limber and flexible enough to continue climbing into the bed for many years down the road. :)
Really nice home
Cozy!
I'm interested in the campsites. How do I get in touch with them?
it's beautiful
I LOVE your couch. Would you mind sharing where/details/cost etc. about it?
We got it from Article! It's called the Timber 90" leather sofa. I've had it for five years and it's held up great. It looks better the more it wears. Very happy with the investment!
Thanks👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Love it
Maybe a futon would help that loft.
Love the crop top!
I'll stopped watching at 1:03 after seeing a propane burner outside?! What are they trying to achieve there? Heat up the sky? If it's too cold outside get inside...
Have you never sat around a campfire when it's cold outside? You must not be from the PNW. :)
@@addisonLF I always do that but burn wood leftovers unsuitable for stove, never propane.
I wonder how long they will be there before the river rises and floods their house?

It’s not some quick schemes you see everywhere, she really educates you along the way. I’m seeing consistent returns every month. I’m so grateful!
I started working with her six months ago, and now I’ve seen a 60% return on my investments. The FINRA has also confirmed her credentials.
Wow, what a coincidence, I’ve been hearing about her from different people. Who exactly is this Melissa Jonas Richard?
she’s a highly respected investment advisor.
The W.E.F. would love for all of us to have this mentality.
"You'll own nothing and you'll be happy"
I have watched the video for over 3 minutes and no mention of square footage. I appreciate the video, but the most important information has still not been provided. I do know that she is married with two dogs and the place was built for one person, which has been repeated 2-3 times. Thank you for the video, but I can't watch it anymore.
If the math they provide you at 3:20 was too hard (10'x26'), they give you the answer of 260sf at the 7:00 mark.
All good wishes.
like the design !
