While he hasn’t been stellar, I think he has so much experience snd he has shown speed. He may not be an alien but as an american fan it would truly give me something to root for more than i already have and many times (due to the US having s SBK style system rather than junior gps in Europe) he might be suited to the bigger bikes.

There’s no such thing as integrity in sponsorship; especially, in motorsport. This is the same racing series, that still have beer companies endorse certain teams/GPs, as long as it has a 0% alcohol label on it. And, let’s not forget about how the tobacco industry financially tethered the sport, since the Two-Stroke era.
I could care less about the OnlyFans partnership: but, don’t pretend there hasn’t been WAY worse companies that sponsored teams/riders.
So, get off your puritanical high horse and have some self-awareness about the (other) corporations that entered MotoGP.

Yes tobacco companies and beer companies providing sponsorship has been the norm before I even knew what racing was, and I'm not a young man. Back then almost EVERYONE smoked. We even had smoking courts at high schools. Is anyone being endorsed by tobacco companies anymore? If so, it's not as prevalent as it was a few short decades ago.

Joe roberts today is only what? 36 points down from owning the moto2 title? And could pretty much dominate a race on a good day I think since we need an american on the MOTOGP grid he is good enough to give him a go! Heck Marc Marquez is EIGHTY plus points down on the chanpionship and Ducati is giving him full factory slot right next to Pecco next year NOT because he deserves it mathmatically but simply because he IS good and well loved. Well Joe Roberts would have a LOT of American patriotic love that is good for the sport in the same way and just like Marc was WORTH bending sound logic for so is Joe....I think they are making a mistake not giving Joe a shot. @@macsmith6216 you get more time in wsbk than the gp.not saying he couldnt give it a crack but look at the wsbk right now a heap of old MotoGP riders Alex lows and Remy are about the same age as Roberts and look like they need a yr or two before they really are challenging. a 26yr old will not get a more than one yr in the MotoGP if they go out win stay in the top 5 all yr sure they will get more time but big ask in the current MotoGP line up.nothing wrong with wsbk less cash but still great racing
