Not at the moment unfortunately, the recurring page creation feature still doesn’t play nicely with relations. That’s where this ruclips.net/video/caQWkcbEGiw/видео.html solution still applies. You’d create a template for parent pages that contains pages for the sub-items (they don’t need to be inside a template button) + a linked database view with the sub-items relation filtered by the name of the page template. When you create a new parent page, apply the template and drag the pages for the sub-items into the linked database view to link them to the parent automatically. Bit of a manual process unfortunately but a lot quicker than creating each sub-item by hand.

Project1 has Task1, Task2 and Task3 associated to it. Task2 is dependent on Task 1 and Task 3 is dependent on Task 2. I want to only view one task at a time, so what formula do I need to write so that: I ONLY see Task1 in view > I complete Task1 > Task1 disappears > I ONLY see Task 2
When duplicating a parent item, all subitems are linked to the original parent item. But I want the new subitems to be related to the new parent item. How do I resolve this?
There is no solution, but I learned one thing. If a task has many subtasks, then it's not a task, it's a project. So I created another table called projects, to organize tasks by projects.@@marcosviniciusag
Quick question. Is it possible to display scheduled sub-items in a calendar view? I have a parent Item with a schedule and sub-items with schedules as well. My goal was to show the sub-items inside the parent Item so that I could easily see the full schedule and the schedule for each sub-item in the calendar view, but the sub-items simply disappear when I toggle the option.

I’d generally recommend keeping projects and tasks separate because even though there’s some overlap between the properties, it’ll give you more flexibility as you develop your workspace. If you’re just getting started with Notion though then it can work to combine the two databases.
I can't really understand why using sub-items would be any better than using separate databases. In fact, it seems a lot more confusing and difficult to manage, without providing any additional benefits.
I'm planning on using those for the research repository database. Research pages will be parent items while notes from interviews with individual participants will be sub-items. I feel like it helps tidy it up since the notes aren't an independent piece of the database (although they need their own page and editing). In this case, would you still recommend separate databases? 🤔
For me it helps to visibly see all the little things it might take for me to achieve a larger goal/task, rather than having them scattered all over and maybe missing something.

At the moment, this feature only applies to parent items. I'm sorry about that. However, our Engineering team is looking into extending functionality to subitems further down the road, but we don't have a timeline to provide.”

Sub-items are just entries in your database that are linked to a parent page so you could either add them from a table view of the database or from the linked database view that's included in the parent page template which I demoed at 04:07. I hope that helps, just let me know if you're getting stuck somewhere when trying to create sub-items

Unfortunately you can't display sub-items along with parent items in the Calendar view. You could try using the Timeline view instead though.

this feature doesn't work for me, everything looks the same up until I click on "+ Sub-item", then it just doesn't add another sub item.

Why don't subtasks carry over to different views of the same database
The relation properties are still there but sub-items being displayed is a view specific setting.

I have the same bug - thanks for commenting with the fix, I was just about to abandon this use-case :)
