Small suggestion, on the packs around lurker while you're waiting for the tanks to get established before you aoe, I like to toss 1 or 2 arcane blasts on skull then open up aoe. Better than standing there simply waiting
@@georgiplays and use cone of cold instead of arcane explosion whenever you get a clear cast, it does more dmg on crit since you have +100% crit dmg with frostspell. also it costs a lot more mana so if you have to use one coc it's when you have clearcasting. the only downside is that you have to get a good position in order to hit every mob. Aaah tbc... good old times. i used to think about details like that all the time
I have a problem with just burning all my mana super early and using all my cds and evocate and just being oom for the rest of the fight, jumping around waiting for mana. I really dont know what to do. Im in some kara gear but not too geared yet. Any tips?
Is all your gear enchanted and gemmed with intellect gems? Are you popping mana pots and your mana emerald whenever they are up? Are you using mage armor to keep regenerating mana? How much spirit do you have? Do you have a good support group - for mana regen you want a resto shammy that can pop Mana Tide for you, you want paladin's Blessing of Wisdom (and kings ideally). Prefer gear with more intellect and spirit on it (spirit is great). Do you have a priest that can buff you with spirit? If not, use scrolls, and get the spirit drinks from the ogre in Dire Maul North, which stacks with your food buff. How much dps does your raid have? Most fights are very short with decent dps, so you shouldn't even ever have to cast frostbolt with decent setup (unless you are given like 2-3 heroisms and literally burn thru your mana). Are you running the standard arcane spec that gives you clear casting procs? Here's what I do most fights, which will deliver good performance, but it's not the way to parse for 99s. Also you should be aware of the encounter and what happens when and adjust, but in general: Start the fight and pump, pop CDs. As soon as you reach mana to not overflow from using mana gem, use it (80-85%), keep pumping, as soon as a mana pot would give you enough mana to top up to 100%, use it. Keep pumping. Evocate when at 10-20%. Keep pumping. When at 50% tell shammy to pop Mana Tide. Keep pumping. When at 20% or less depending on boss health and how much you regenerate start conserving mana by casting 3 x arcane blast, 3 x frostbolt (depending on your buffs and gear you might not even have to do this at all). Your gem is up again, pop it and start pumping arcane blasts again. Mana pot is up, pop it and keep pumping. That's pretty much it :D GL!
